Walking alongside the boats at the marina yesterday, the houseboat here stood out from the crowd of tall mast yachts and other pleasure cruisers. A homely looking craft and as I watched, the owner returned home with his groceries. It got me thinking about what it might be like to to be able to up anchor and away with the tide whenever you fancied, off to adventures new. What do you think, would life on the waves be right for you? Btw if you read the name on the houseboat it is Tranquility, perhaps that says it all :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..

ReplyDeleteCheers
I could live on a houseboat...I saw some pretty fancy ones this summer when I was on vacation.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling my fear of deep water would outweigh the tranquility part of the equation. :-]
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures.
I think it would be nice to go for a trip with these kind of boats for a few days. A lot of rest and relaxing. Lovely!!
Best regards,
Marco
I don't think it would be the life for me.
ReplyDeleteNo not for me, not that fond of the sea! Hope all is well Diane
ReplyDeleteAmazing pics.
ReplyDeleteTake care. Greetings
Think I could live like that!
ReplyDelete...I don't think that this would be for me.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't live on a houseboat with my family, but if my situation were different... Something very appealing about living on the water.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to try it years ago but not now.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't like it on open sea. I find England's canal narrow boats quite interesting and I follow someone who lives on one as he makes Youtube clips about the experience. The BBC noticed him and he has now made a tv show.
ReplyDeleteTwo of my uncles were boat engineers and built their own ones.
ReplyDeleteIt was always fun to visit.
When at school we had one short overnight trip on a boat, hmmm, sooo nice to fall asleep with small (!) waves.
That probably gets a lot more use and provides more pleasure than the big, flashy yachts.
ReplyDeleteOnly problem can be to become seasick aboard it.
ReplyDeleteI would not like to live in the water, no way.
ReplyDeleteBoat culture is something else. When I lived in Key West, Florida, I loved biking past houseboat row.

Maybe a weekend trip would be nice, but to live in a house boat for years and years no way!
ReplyDeleteI am more of a land person and would choose a houseboat when vacationing.
