Horticultural Sunday sale..

Once again we were up and about early on Sunday morning. Aimee has a particular spot in her garden that has so far been tricky.. in that not much seems to survive there :) Thinking that perhaps native plants might be the way to go we set off early to the Friends of Kings Park Native Plant Sale. It's the first time we've been and on arriving half an hour early there was already a substantial queue waiting. As many of the plant species on sale here are not available from commercial native plant nurseries when the gates opened it was a bit like a botanical black Friday sale.. the rush was on! Happy to say Aimee came away with the plants she wanted so we will wait and see how that spot in her garden grows. Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe. P.s. couldn't resist a shot of the baby in box half way down queue below :)

  2. We don't have any such sales in Paris, in public gardens. It's too bad it's a great idea.

  7. Nothing beats an empty box as a perfect plaything. I hope the plants work out for the garden. You certainly earned them waiting in that line.

  10. I've been to a special seed sale of native plants and it was really popular too. It is good to see so many people interested in native plants, Grace. I don't like line-ups though!

  15. :-) Grace. Half an hour early. You turn into a German.
Great idea with the plants, I wonder why nurseries don´t offer them, though!
Good luck with them, and, yes, a very concentrated baby that is, very cute!
Not really a happy Wednesday here - paperwork, ugh! But I hope you have/had one xox
