Puttin' on the Ritz..

It was a wet and windy day last week when I spotted the two men above. At first I thought they were window cleaners, but looking closer, love that 12-200 lens, what I thought was a reflection was actually someone inside giving instructions..

I'm guessing they were glaziers putting finishing touches to the glass panels on the upper levels of the Ritz-Carlton before the grand opening later in the month. Above dangling near the Bell Tower and below where I first spotted them looking like two little dots up there, you might have to embiggen to even see them :) A tricky job at the best of times but in windy conditions.. I don't think so! Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe..

  2. Great shots, Grace. I can see why you love that lens, it's grand and gets in close.

  3. Typical! The workers hang around in the rain while the boss stays in the warm and dry. That lens will earn its keep.

  7. Not so relevant to your photos but I saw two different to norm high rise window cleaners. One at the building next door who was a balding older man. It is usually a young person's job. The other while hard to see as he was so rugged up, was cleaning our building windows and had Hindi music playing on some device, so I guess he is Indian.

  8. I'm surprised they are up there if it's a windy day. That is a nice lens Grace. I'm waiting until Olympus comes out with one a bit faster, especially at the long end. I use my 35mm 210mm telephoto. I loose the zoom functionality though.

  10. Great series and wonderful shots! I have lens envy. My favorite is misbehaving (just as I'm about to travel - it's probably staying home).

  17. You zoom lens did a fantastic job. You have to be a bit crazy to do that job, don't you think?

  20. I don't think I could get on a window washer rig.
We had a crazy wind storm blow in a couple weeks ago and a couple of window washers had their rig damaged and were blowing around. No injuries thankfully.
