I had no time at all yesterday during the day to venture out and about to take photos, so it was a quick early morning overexposed shot here of my colourful and noisy breakfast guests. It's interesting that the feathers on the underside of the galah wings are a much richer colour than their grey and pink plumage, not as faded by the sun perhaps.. I just made that last bit up :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. Out last night, hopefully some good pics tomorrow..
...my breakfast guests are never this colorful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty pair!
ReplyDeleteAnd my breakfast is just as colorful and ... talks so much!
ReplyDeleteHe calls every morning ... "Rocky, coffee ready!" 😅
You have beautiful breakfast guests.
ReplyDeleteThey sure are pretty.
ReplyDeleteA bit bright for me at that hour of the morning! But what good-looking guests to have visiting.
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful, Grace! You always show us wonderful pics!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty birds. You are fortunate to have them as guests.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful guests.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have these colorful guests stop by your house for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteOh I would welcome breakfast guests like those! They are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting that the color is so much brighter on the bottom. Here's a guess: predators like hawks are less likely to spot them from up above, while the bright underside is used to attract a mate. That's called a SWAG (scientific wild-assed guess)!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful guests Grace. I had never seen the underside of their feathers.
ReplyDeleteThe both beautiful and soft looking.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Don't the galahs wake you in the morning? I expect they do.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, such beauties, Grace!
ReplyDeleteMy lille guests knocked the new feeder over. again. Or it was Peanut, who ran wild as I forgot to lay out peanuts...
Looking forward to your next post :-) xox
