Guests for breakfast..



I had no time at all yesterday during the day to venture out and about to take photos, so it was a quick early morning overexposed shot here of my colourful and noisy breakfast guests. It's interesting that the feathers on the underside of the galah wings are a much richer colour than their grey and pink plumage, not as faded by the sun perhaps.. I just made that last bit up :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. Out last night, hopefully some good pics tomorrow..

  8. Very interesting that the color is so much brighter on the bottom. Here's a guess: predators like hawks are less likely to spot them from up above, while the bright underside is used to attract a mate. That's called a SWAG (scientific wild-assed guess)!

    My lille guests knocked the new feeder over. again. Or it was Peanut, who ran wild as I forgot to lay out peanuts...
