WA Day yesterday saw Perthites and visitors flock to celebrate the festivities at Elizabeth Quay. I deliberately left the sunburst in the shot above because even though it is officially winter here in Perth when I took these shots at 2pm in the afternoon it was around 25C.. perfect! You might notice in the shots below that even though there were thousands here, the river police were kept on their toes, there were still opportunities for a quiet moment. You might have to embiggen to appreciate just how big the crowds were but I've saved some shots for tomorrow where embiggening will not be necessary :) Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe...
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBy contrast, it's supposed to be spring here, but we're ten degrees cooler than there!
It looks like it a good day to be wandering around with a camera. Nice photos Grace! There always seems to be something going on in Perth. I "embiggened" and your photos were even better!
ReplyDeleteHappy WA Day! These happy bright photos sure make me want to visit Perth some day. I've never been on your side of the continent.
ReplyDeleteIn my dreams, I live in your kind of winter. Perth is a beautiful place!

ReplyDeleteAwesome pics.
ReplyDeleteSome of the things I love about Perth, Grace. The weather, the people, the safety. Here I avoid crowds. Police is only there when something has happened...
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect place!
ReplyDeleteHappy WA Day. A lovely day for an outing. Many people thought so.

ReplyDeleteSo, pretty much a perfect day for celebrating outing the sunshine! It looks like lots and lots of people took advantage.
ReplyDeleteWA Day was quite the success! And what a beautiful day weather-wise!
ReplyDeleteLike A summer...!?
ReplyDeleteFine sunburst, the sun beam is beautiful.
I would trade our winters for Perth winters any day. And with Trump in the White House...is Australia accepting American refugees?
ReplyDeleteYour winters are so much more pleasant than our with tricky patches of ice.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
