Shoes on the other feet!



It's always a pleasure to come across the WA Mounted Police in the city. Coming out from the Art Gallery WA into the bright sunlight it was wonderful to see the horses and riders interacting with the public in the Perth Cultural Centre. After seeing hundreds of pairs of fancy sneakers in the exhibition it was good to see down to earth hard working footwear in action :) Hope you're having a good weekend, happy Sunday, take care and stay safe...

    That is an entirely different kind of horse shoe! I've not seen that before.

    Pretty fancy shoes on those guys! Everyone seems to like mounted police - I guess unless they are chasing you!

    I've seen them on a few police horses here also. They are a real asset if one needs to gallop a horse on hard surfaces. Iron shoes will slip right out from under the horse which can injure the horse and injure or kill the officer.

    These are new to me. Now, of course, I wonder if there are uniform specifications for these. No bright colors or sequins, perhaps? (Very nice to see the police interacting with passersby.)

    Never seen horses with the hoofs covered, very interesting. So nice to see the friendly horses from the Mounted Police.

    See all the dogs in London that were searching the burnt out tower block were well clad foot wise with fire proof shoes. Diane
