We're all in this together..

I didn't leave the house at all yesterday.. it was nice, I'm beginning to really enjoy not rushing about! Sitting out on the patio in the sun reading I was soon joined by the regulars. Here the galahs and the rainbow lorikeets were happily munching on the seed knocked out of the tray above by the corellas, there were doves and mudlarks also but you will have to take my word on that :)

Meanwhile a little way away under the washing line look who was watching.. lazily, feigning indifference. This little cutie has adopted me and my garden to laze in and whenever it wants extra food.. that doesn't include the birds :)

Even if he was serious he wouldn't have had a chance.. the slightest move and they are off in a flurry of wings, squawking indignantly. I do enjoy these noisy colourful visitors, I hope you do also 🐦Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. I took these shots round 10am yesterday morning, by 5pm we were/are in the throes of a ferocious storm, have already had a call from Aimee to say her back fence is down, yikes hope my newly transplanted tree survives!

  3. Rather more pretty than the very black Rooks and Jackdaws outside my window at the moment.

  12. Grace, you have the most amazing visitors to your yard. The Rainbow Lorikeets are truly sensational. Continue to have fun with your camera. Hope Aimee's fence is not too badly damaged.

  13. People with a house and a garden do have an advantage over those of us who don't at the moment. Lovely photos.

  14. I couldn't imagine all those bird eating together.
Love the pic of the cat, but all those bird would probably kill it!

  16. Cute guys you have there, Grace. So much unlike us. Those NOISIEST, most unrespectful kids scream their heads off in front our balcony every day.
Glad with 11C it´s too cold anyways to sit outside, but I hear them loudly even in here.

    Awwww, the cat, so cute!

  17. You have a popular garden for the birds! They must have told each other that is the place to be. The kitty is very sweet that she doesn't chase the birds. Yes the weather can change in a minute to disaster, a flat garden fence we had already too a few weeks ago. Keep going! (BTW glad I have found your comments at last now :))

  18. If I had visitors like this, I'd be sitting outside watching them too! I hope you survived the storm. Sounds like the wind was blowing pretty hard.

  21. Now how happy would I be if they landed in our garden 😊 We basically go out once every 2 weeks to shop and I go on the 1 km radius walk about 3 x a week. Thanks goodness we have a garden!! Stay safe Diane
