CDP Theme.. (Essential) Shopping.

The May theme for City Daily Photo photo bloggers around the world is 'shopping', the theme picked well before there was an inkling of how ironic that would be. For the last few months in most parts of the world it has been essential shopping only. Yesterday we went into the city for the first time in about five weeks, it was a little sad to see the city so quiet but I was delighted to find Elizabeth's Book Shop open, this is my kind of essential shopping :) Although here in Perth the restrictions have relaxed a little while still practicing social distancing and many other precautions, we didn't stay in the city for long, a few new books and we were on our way home. I did have to get a new computer in the end and unfortunately it was over a long weekend here in Perth which delayed things considerably, but things are zipping along a lot more smoothly now. Happy weekend, take care and stay extra safe.. P.s. check out the quote on the outside shop board 😉

  4. Ours have slightly relaxed too, only businesses who can do contactless deliveries or pickups have been allowed to open but there are still lots closed still.

  10. We are lucky to have our bookstore too that is still open. It is essential to have a look at magazins and books. Other special stores as fashion are mostly closed. Well I have enough clothes no need of new ones.:) Keep going, once this will come to an end will it.....?

  13. Glad you´re back, Grace, but weeeee... starting off with that dangerous shop?!
I managed to NOT have a look at the German brother, Graff...

Oh, wee, what kind of a computer did you get?
If mine dies I want a tiny one, a real PC but small, like I had at work. I am sick of that big guy sitting under my table.
Either way, glad you´re back and to a great weekend xox

  15. First of all, I am super duper happy you are back Grace! I missed your quirky words and beautiful photos! Next, that bookstore, Gorgeous! It gives me an old world feel to it, the fact that it's displaying sooo many books! Because here in our country bookstores only have a section for books (HAHAHA BUT TRUE!) Because it also has like 75% of the store with stationery items, pens, magazines, photo frames and stuff like gifts and decors! Yup, that's our bookstore HAHA

Happy Weekend and glad you are back!!!

  16. Hi Grace, books are always essential, I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have any. I've been reading lots of them lately and have a box ready to donate to some charity store when we can get out again. Take care, have a wonderful day and stay safe.

  17. I miss bookstores here being open. I'm going through my bookshelves at present. Just finishing a book on the British expeditions to Everest in the 1920s.

  18. How I'd love to visit this bookshop.

  19. The problem with bookshops they are not the place for going in and getting out as fast as you can. I have started on another audio book from the local library while I await the day when we can slowly browse in the bookshops again.
