Well I bet you weren't expecting that on a quiet Monday morning, or Sunday afternoon depending on where you are in the world! It is fierce there's no doubt about it, but at the same time the surrounding block pastel colours makes him less so don't you think, come on he's just a big pussycat after all 😉 Multi-disciplinary Fremantle artist Jackson Harvey, see more of his work here, states that his work is 'characterized by bright, carefully selected colour palettes
and soft flowing curves contrasted with bold pixilated textures'. The positioning of the mural in the 'tow away zone' made me smile.. who would dare :) Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
...Grace, you idea of a pussycat and mine are quite different! This cat is roaring off the wall, nice find!
ReplyDeleteThat certainly is a colourful roar!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
He is perfect for the tow away zone, Grace! Who would dare to challenge him?
ReplyDeleteNow that mural is perfect for a tow away zone!
ReplyDeletePowerful!
ReplyDeleteA loud roar coming from that beast. :)
ReplyDeleteNice one, Grace!
What's new pussycat … 😅
ReplyDeleteThis is a cat with personality! The big cat is beautifully drawn!
I wish you to go in the new week as and lion!! Roarrrr!!! 🦁
Looks like he's making a big roar, nice mural Grace.
ReplyDeleteThose pixels and hues caught my sight so much! This is beautiful Grace! The pussy cat may be looking strong but the colors softened the feels :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd dare to park there with that fierce looking "pussycat" guarding the area. Nice one!
ReplyDeleteNot softened for me. Just plain frightening.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, a new form of a stop sign, nicely conceived.
ReplyDeleteNothing says “tow away zone” more than a ferocious lion. 😀
ReplyDeleteA bit frightening image to pass by, grrrrrr :(
ReplyDeleteFerocious
ReplyDeleteWow is a good word here.
ReplyDelete:-) Even Henry´s heart sank a little, Grace!
ReplyDeleteSome furious beauty that is!
Henry just hides, but with a grin!
Beautiful, strong mural, I love it.
That is quite dramatic!!!! Keep well, Diane
ReplyDeleteQuite fierce but the pinks and blues of the background softens it a bit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating Grace.
fierce looking pussy.
ReplyDeleteOooh, great painting! I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing find. I LOVE the way the artist described his work and I LOVE the pixelated background. Sure makes that "pussycat" stand out.
ReplyDeleteOoh I like it!
ReplyDeleteIt is an image that made me look for a while. The face is nicely (and fiercely) painted and the pixelated parts and their pastel colors add interest, but I am undecided about the work as a whole.
