We zipped into the city yesterday for something specific only to find the 'something specific' shop still closed. Like many cities around the world Perth feels a little bit sad and deserted right now which is a shame because it is looking particularly pretty in its autumn colours. The views here looking up and down through the canopy of trees on Murray Street are lovely as the trees change colour. Although there is a lot of rain about it isn't all that cold.. between 19 and 22C during the coming week. Not sure if I mentioned that my newly planted tree did survive the storm but is now totally leafless, it is a deciduous tree so they were on the way out anyway :) Happy Friday, take care and stay extra safe 🍂
...wow, yesterday we hit 30C, it was awfully hot for me!
ReplyDeleteOne thing I really want to see about Autumn is how the leaves turn to different colors! Hopefully someday :)
ReplyDeleteHere I am staring at these lovely photos and wishing I walking in that spot right now. Instead I'm faced with 40c temperature today and 44c tomorrow. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos sorry the shop was closed! Take care and enjoy the weekend Diane
ReplyDeleteI love the second photo, the person with an umbrella. Nicely composed, Grace.
ReplyDeleteYour leaves are almost gone, ours are just opening! The circle of life...
ReplyDeleteThe second one looks calming.
ReplyDeleteThe rain and a quiet walk. What else does one need?
I like watching the contrasting season to what we have here, just entering summer. We are getting rain also.
Love the shot with the umbrella, Grace! It is raining here too.
ReplyDeleteFinally ... we have almost the same day temperature! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't rain here and it is necessary! Weekend gets even warmer!
Too bad you don't get an "Indian summer" ... most of the leaves are gone by the storm ... right?
I wish you a nice Friday, don't forget to take with you the umbrella! ☂ LOL
What great fall shots. Love the one with the umbrella and rain. Classic fall.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the Autumn temps at the moment, we are probably a bit cooler than Perth, similar to Melbourne I'd say.
ReplyDeleteNext week we will go into the city for the first time after about three months. It may be a sad experience.
ReplyDeleteGrace!!! Can I come over now? No rain since weeks and weeks, 12C. Help!
ReplyDeleteI start "hating" to see the sun being there, not warming us and everything goes dry.
But!!! Pics to come, my Mum´s strawberries care a sh...! :-)
Very English conditions over there - just like our usual summers!
ReplyDeleteLooks like we switched weather again.
ReplyDeleteIt seems we have switched our countries. Here all sunshine, but a bit lack of rain as nature is becoming a rather to dry here.
ReplyDeleteFine colors.
ReplyDeleteAutumn seems to encapsulate so many stages of life.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful
ReplyDeleteWe had some rain last night, but not much.
ReplyDeleteThe city street trees and rain just add to the desolation, even when they are in autumn leaf.
