We were up and walking the loop trail around Lake Goollelal before sunup yesterday morning. An easy 5km walk I was happy to get my 10,000 steps in before 7.30am :) It's a pretty trail with glimpses of the lake through the weird and wonderful paper bark trees, their barks hanging in shreds. Trying to get as many walks in before Perth goes into lock down like the rest of the world! Will show you some of the uniquely Australian critters encountered along the way on Wednesday. Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
...Grace many of the plants I recognize from Maui. Take care and stay well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely walk. It's so important to get outside and enjoy some nature even if you are doing in by yourself or with a small group.
ReplyDeleteWell worth getting up early for. If they prevent me going outside I'm sure I'd go crazy - well, crazier than now!
ReplyDeleteThank you for allowing us to accompany you on your walk around the lake. We got to see from pretty scenes in that early morning light.
ReplyDeleteA photogenic place.
ReplyDeleteThat was a wonderful walk you took us on, Grace. The photos are very pretty to see. I love the first image with the reflection, it's fantastic.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely walk but so early in the day, Grace! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI just came back from a walk and the city is so deserted and people cross the road to avoid passing too close to others. It is a weird time for us all.
Grace you have no idea how thankful I am for touring us to this walking trail. It's got so much beauty of nature in it and for being at home in the last 12 days, it gave my heart so much joy. That lake is just beautiful and the sunshine over it makes it a fairy tale!
ReplyDeleteCases have been rising so as death toll, It's surely because of lack of test kits and preparation by the government and us citizens. But hopefully, as I see that people are starting to see the importance of staying home, the numbers will soon stop bubbling up.
Wishing you all the best this new week!

It does my soul good to see this, Grace!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice if rather long walk. We still need to keep up exercise.
ReplyDelete10,000 steps!! Well Done - That Sure Puts A Smile On My Face - Good On Ya - Excellent Photos As Always - Stay Hydrated
ReplyDeleteCheers
My respect, Grace! With the sun coming up earier I might join you "time-wise" soon :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, no lock down, hopefully!!!
I think I´ll go through my "memory-stuff" and see if I have that paper bark still and give it a better place.
Belas árvores.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

Oh great 10.000 steps! I never reach that , always less....
ReplyDeleteThose photos are SO uniquely Australian! Too cold to go for early morning walks here. This morning it's snowing. No lock down yet but I'm sure it's coming.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of a beautiful spot. We are allowed to walk out with a permit but only in a 2 km radius of the house. Keep well Diane
ReplyDeleteWe are permitted to walk outside provided we stay away from one another. Suits me! Lol
ReplyDeleteNice place for an early walk.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the paperbark.
