A fishy ta(i)l and safer places..

'The goldfish swam from the depth
 to the surface
Swirling flowing fluently
It's orange tail like an unwilling mantilla in air'..

It was slightly mesmerising watching the large goldfish.. more of a koi really, tail swishing lazily as it made it's way through the pond grasses, at times disappearing before reappearing briefly. There are a lot of unsavoury characters out there in the wild that would enjoy a fishy dinner, so...

... I was happy to see him disappear into the depths once more, if you pull the shot in below you can just see the last golden flash in the cloud reflections before he goes down into a safer place! Keep yourself in a safer place and have a lovely Sunday, take care..

  4. He's got a lot of hiding places among all those plants. I love watching them swish so gracefully.

  5. Stunningly coloured fish, aren't they. There's a place near that breeds and sells them, the big ones fetch some serious money.

  7. Wow! The last time I remembered seeing a Koi in the wild was on a river in Japan. This one that you shared, swimming by the beautiful green water plants makes it a lot more magical!

I hope you are all doing well there in Perth. I have a number of former students who live there now and I hope you are all safe and sound.

  16. And P.S., no Ingo cannot work from home. He needs big, heavy machines for the tiny things he works with.... Sadly!
