Remember the good old days when you 'socially distanced' yourself from someone because they'd eaten too much garlic and hadn't cleaned their teeth.. life seemed much simpler back in the good old days, when was that again.. oh yeh, a few months ago! How unbelievable to find the whole world in the crisis situation it is now. In the city on Thursday it was good to see Perthites practicing social distancing as they chatted and went about their business. How has the situation affected you so far, are you self- isolating, working from home, or going about life as normally as possible? Happy Saturday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. it's not your eyes, there's a bit of blurring for privacy going on here :)
I'm just trying to stay in and avoid a lot of people! Stay well, Grace!
ReplyDelete...I'm home now and let me tell it's difficult to maintain your distance in an airport!!!

ReplyDeleteEspero bé, que podrem recuperar el contacte normal amb la gent, un cop passi tot això ... no sigui que ens hi acostumem !
ReplyDeleteSalut ;)
In Europe ( in France ) we are confined, we must stay at home!
ReplyDeleteI'm completely isolated, Grace.
ReplyDeleteWe all must stay at home.
We are staying in most of the time but go out for an occasional walk or to the grocery store. People are making sure there is at least 2 meters between them when outside and it's good. We went for a walk this morning and saw only two people, a dog and a sheep. :) Take care, stay safe and healthy.
ReplyDeleteExcellent examples of social distancing. Too bad the virus has brought us to this, but I hope this gets us through this pandemic.
ReplyDeleteOnce the virus goes away hopefully we can be back to normal.
ReplyDeleteHad to shop for groceries yesterday. To crowded to have adequate distances, so it was uncomfortable. I could tell everyone was stressed. Stay healthy!!
ReplyDeletePerthites are much smarter than us here in Virginia...not noticing social distancing at all. Although meetings at school were downsized so that we could have room between us and businesses do tend to talk about it but as for the general public I'm not really noticing when I'm at the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteA large queue had formed at the Chemist Warehouse checkouts and interesting to note most people were standing a metre or so from each other.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to live life as normal as I can.
ReplyDeleteIt's good people are paying attention there, people don't seem to be taking it seriously enough here.
ReplyDeleteIt strikes me that people are stamping this with their own personality and beliefs just like everything else. Perth still looks like the wonderful place I look forward to visiting every day. Please stay well my friend love you
ReplyDeleteGlad to see people are taking the threat seriously. Most people here seem to be heeding the advice though of course there are always a few fools who think the rules don't apply to them.
ReplyDeletePeople here are dumb, Grace. They come NEAR, as in centimeters. Ingo´s advice: turn around and (fake) cough at them.
ReplyDeleteThough actually we both really do cough and I cannot remember that happening in March. No fever, though, all good.
And!!!! The sun is shining!!!! 3C only, though :-(
I spend a lot of time indoors (to go crazy!) But when I go shopping, I always keep the distance!
ReplyDeleteWish you a nice weekend!
Take care of yourself! 🤗
Yes our world has changed completely suddenly. It feels so strange not to be able to do the things you like to do, visiting Museums or exhibitions. Incredible what is happening around us. Sad you can't reach me on my blog anymore but hubby keeps me informed :) Keep going.
ReplyDeleteYes distance is a real problem especially in the supermarket that you need for your daily supplies.
ReplyDeleteThe world has changed quite a bit in the last few weeks. I work part time and now I'm working from home. Last week was the first week for that. For the most part, people are practicing the social distancing however there was a guy behind me in line at the grocery store yesterday who hadn't seemed to have gotten the message. My beloved botanical garden closed yesterday until further notice. Movie theaters and retail stores are closed (with the exception of drug stores and grocers). Restaurants are all take-out only. It's a completely different world.
ReplyDeleteThere is no old normal here any more, just the new normal.
ReplyDeletehere in Italy stop to shopping, only pharmacies and supermarkets and food shops, distance fronm others.you move only near home, and if you have one wear a mask.. i m at home from work.. take care. ew
ReplyDeleteIt's a changed world for sure Grace. We try to stay home as much as possible, enjoying the garden and night walks. But I still go out to work 4 times a week, don't know till when, but the clinic is busier than ever with people who are scared and anxious.
ReplyDeleteThe main impact of social distancing for us is no longer being able to go to church (after this morning). Might be nice on a cold winter morning being able to join a service online in bed.
