Beach etiquette.. three beaches.

We went for a drive along the coast yesterday to see if Perthites/visitors are doing the right thing and not overcrowding the beaches thus ignoring social distancing during this crisis period. If this happens the beaches will be closed, as happened temporarily on Bondi beach in Sydney. Even though it was a 37C degree day, ditto today, it was good to see that yes, proper 'beach etiquette during a crisis' was happening. The beach above is Sorrento Beach five minutes from home. Heading on down the coast road to Trigg beach below. yup, all good!

Further down the coast on Scarborough Beach below, one of Perth's most popular beaches the scene was the same. Nice one, three out of three, top marks :) Hope you are all coping well with the restrictions, let's hope if we all do the right thing it will be over sooner rather than later.. I'm ever the optimist :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..

  5. Beautiful beaches. People here in the USA are under the same rules, but still over crowding the beaches and parks unless police out to prevent access.

  7. I'm glad to hear that people are behaving themselves, but if they can't find a bit of space in Australia then they won't be able to find space anywhere!

  8. It's good to know that people are following the rules down under. I saw that a couple of California beaches had to be closed too. I haven't been out of my house for 3 days now so I'm not sure what is going on out there. I was supposed to take my car in to the garage today but, I decided to cancel it. Why risk it for something that isn't urgent.

  9. Grace I am so so happy, I will be posting about a beach today as well in Cavite Daily Photo :) All of these three beeches you shared us are paradise and I am glad that people are following orders out there. Beaches and other public places have also been closed here since the lockdown 11 days ago. Please continue to shine your optimism, we all need a dose of it!

PS Thank you so much Grace for always visiting my blog. It really means a lot to me to have visitors especially in times of confinement like these and it makes me feel like I'm not alone. Blessings to you and your family down under, stay safe!

  11. At least it seems you are allowed to go to the beach, we have hefty fines if we leave home without a good reason and a permit. Stay safe, Diane

  12. Looks like everyone is keeping their social distance while enjoying the beach. Good you could get out for a drive. That is safe activity so long as you keep your distance.

  13. Nice to see some great outdoor weather during this time of quarantine. Mostly gray and rainy here...

  14. So beautiful there! I hope people continue the distancing.

  15. I am glad to see that, Grace! Most people here seem to be be physically distancing but there are always a few fools who don't. I've been going for a walk each day and am picking quiet streets and lane ways.

  16. I just saw your question about moderation. It's in the settings under posts, comments and sharing. There is a section for comment moderation and change it to Sometimes and then set the number of days you want to limit it to. I changed mine to anything older than 5 days.

  17. I bet it looks strange with so little people at the beaches

  18. We are lucky that Perth beaches are huge and the State's population is low, so our beaches are never really as full as Bondi beach.
    Keep safe Grace :)

  19. Sadly people here are not so clever. In the local online news they reported there were groups of women standing close, chatting after bringing their kids to (a private?) kindy. How dumb is that.

  20. Beautiful sandy beaches, they looks so gorgeous when they are not covered with half naked people!!!!

  21. thank you for these pictures of the last extremity of the world, where it is still possible to go out for a swim and sunbath. here the time seems to be at half mast. Going out (shopping, taking the time to walk) becomes an almost suspicious expedition. you have to get permission to go out in case the police ask you to. And then it's cold again, even if it's sunny.

  23. Good to see. Unlike Bondi previously, St Kilda and another Sydney beach this weekend. I don't get it, with so many beaches available why do they all go to the same one.
