Nature framed times two..

Not knowing when I might get the chance to take another reflection shot I saved the view above taken in the verandah window of the Chalet Healy Cafe, at Araluen Botanic Park, now closed for the duration of the current crisis. It was the framed picture of nature inside the framed picture of nature that appealed to me, plus being in the midst of nature and tall trees always appeals to me :) I hope you are well despite the many restrictions. I'm curious, are there any changes you have made during this time that you might keep up when the crisis is over, sometimes positives can evolve out of negative situations, I know I have made changes that will continue in the long term, if you are interested I'll tell you 😉 Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe..

  1. I haven't spent this much time in my house ever. Maybe I'll learn to stay home more.
Love the reflection shot and all that green!

  2. I've been washing my hands religiously when I come in so hopefully will continue that. I love seeing all of those trees, Grace.

  3. Very peaceful and beautiful.
Well, I know how you can take more reflections. Stand in front of the mirror and take an image of Grace taking an image into the mirror. For the next one add a rear mirror to multiply the images, then add sides and each time multiply reflections. On a more serious note, I bet you can find reflections around the house.

  7. That is a great reflection. I have never been so busy at home. The garden is shouting for work to be done always at this time of the year but I have never invented so many meals that I have no recipes for just using what is available!! Stay safe, Diane

  8. What a great, complex reflection in your photo. Hope this crisis passes quickly, but I am not holding my breath. Stay safe and healthy until this is past.

  9. I agree, during this time there are so many positives, and doing puzzles and games as a small family is back in full swing, and I hope we keep it up. My daughter and her family is taking one day a week of being unconnected, not even their cell phones, just face to face, reading and enjoying nature. Your reflection photo is wonderful!

  10. As a retiree I'm used to spending time at home, but I am missing day trips that my friend and I would be doing. I have noticed more families out for walks in the village.

  11. I think I will be more diligent about hand washing, especially when coming home after being out. I have also become very careful about how many tissues I use, and I think that will continue. Do tell us what changes you have made that will stick.

  13. Great reflection. I can’t tell if the tables are inside or out.
What will I continue doing after this is over. Maybe I will continue cooking more. I have enjoyed cooking simple recipes that I haven’t cooked in a long time.
What change have you made...that you will continue.?

  16. This is very beautiful grace, the reflection of the frame on the framed photo is a very interesting subject. Just like the points to ponder you gave us in this post. A lot has been learned throughout these days, for me one of the most important is to be more closer to my father. We live at the same house but we seldom talk because I work at night and sleep during daytime. But spending more time at home gave me the chance to bond with him and (to bribe him not to go outside the streets) I give him one of my coloring books and my personal laptop (since I can do my blogging on my work laptop which we were sent home to work on) and so far he's not going outside anymore. I'm more afraid for him because he is now 67 and I kept telling him how serious the virus is, glad he's been listening so far HAHA. Also cleaning my room and I mean CLEANING and taking time to write on my Blog (I usually just work, study, social media).

Okay I think I just wrote a research paper here on your post HAHA I just really like your reflective question.

  18. :-) Grace, ask Aimee. Lisa tells a story in a story in a story to stuck Homer.
Sorry. :-) Don´t throw bait at me!

Yes, please, what will be your changes?
I think I have none, but keeping my breath for some meters when a person I do not know passes too near to me...

  19. Great reflection photo Grace.
Just spending more time at home, so it's basically home/work/home, apart from a dash to the shops once in a while.

  22. Being self-isolating here in this 55+ community has made me realise that I miss seeing my young family so much. And perhaps that will lead to a significant change in my life.

  23. I checked out Anh Do on your recommendation.... WOW awesome, gorgeous, astonishing, surprising. Those portraits are enormous and so is the palette knife that he uses to spread the paint. I saw that he has a TV show too so I went to you tube and watched the show where he painted Walter Mikac, of course I ended up in tears, but what a great show and I loved the portrait at the end. I am going to send the link on to some of my arty friends, I know they will appreciate it. Thanks!!!!!!
