The theme for City Daily Photo bloggers around the world for April is yellow. The curvaceous lines of the sculpture 'in between and all around' by Perth artist Stuart Green are designed 'to be a continuous loop of steel and timber running overhead defying gravity'. It looks fantastic in the foyer of the Fiona Stanley Hospital and... it's not just a pretty face :) it provides seating as it can be used as a bench also 💛 Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
What a great looking sculpture, and perfect for the theme.
ReplyDeleteI like it, though I can't help being reminded of my childhood Scalextric track. Perhaps that's why I like it!
ReplyDelete...looks a DNA spiral.
ReplyDeleteThe sculpture reminds me of one here.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that it is usefull makes it a masterpiece. Have a good week Diane

Good one, Grace! I'm a bit surprised that they let people sit on it but I think that is great that they do!
ReplyDeleteSimply Gorgeous
ReplyDeleteThat a gorgeous sculpture and it's great that it provides a seat for people. Great choice for the theme, Grace.

It is a great piece!
ReplyDeleteI am normally a little ambivalent about such sculptures in public spaces, but I like it and as seating, also practical.
ReplyDeleteThat has to be one of the coolest benches I've seen, and a great choice for today's theme.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that is a beautiful piece. I marvel at how artists make huge pieces like this. It takes a great amount of talent and a huge studio.
ReplyDeleteA very beautiful bench, Grace.
ReplyDeleteBut then I'm not so sure. When you're in hospital you do not really want a loop but get healthy quick...?
Wonderful
ReplyDeleteSo much great ideas. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe wooden band really accentuates the yellow!
