I apologize straight up for the overload of pics today but.. it's a parade! It's all about the wonderful gentlemen above sitting in the autumn sun and recounting stories of times past, love this shot 💜 It doesn't seem that long since we were at the Anzac Day Dawn Service in Kings Park last year. I love the diversity of the marchers in the parade, some with more walking behind the flags than others, the most poignant the flags held up proudly by today's generation keeping the memory alive with no survivors following. Anzac Day stirs up many mixed emotions. Sadness at the loss of so many young lives, anger at why it happened and most of all frustration that it is more than possible it could happen again. If the men who create war had to physically fight in those wars would things be different? Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..
Quite a parade- and nice to see that people have come out to pay tribute to the veterans.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful celebration.
ReplyDeleteBrave men and women every one.
ReplyDelete...everyone loves a parade!
ReplyDeleteGreat parade, especially one such as this. Lest we forget!
ReplyDeleteGreat post and yes we will all never forget. Your overload of photos was easy for me to download, thank you for obviously resizing them, when people put on masses of photos and all full size, with our slow WiFi I cannot download them.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you. My coughing continues and not good at the moment as I have cracked a rib, the two do not go well together!!!! Cheers Diane
What a parade!
ReplyDeleteFabulous post and photographs Grace, thank you.
All the best Jan
I think it's awesome so many people get into Anzac Day even now years later.
ReplyDeleteSehr schön die Bilder von der Parade wichtig daran zu erinnern.

A huge parade that shows support for all the brave men and women.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures really get the emotions flowing, Grace.
ReplyDeleteAre You Kidding Me, Love All Of These Photos!! You Just Post As Many As You Want. You Have The Eye!! Well Done As Always!
ReplyDeleteCheers
It stirs the emotions just looking at your photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat splendid people worthy of our respect and gratitude. A great post. Being Pacific, I am well aware of the heroic record of ANZAC Warriors! I enjoyed seeing N. America present as such. I must confess sadness upon seeing our U.S. flag these days. But I pray and trust Right will prevail here again. Permit me to share some neighbors of Hawaii many are too little aware of. 💓Aloha Dear 🌟

Best words to describe it all ever, Grace. I agree very much - if the men planning the war would have to be in it they´d probably think twice.
ReplyDeleteAnd a wonderful first pic, glad the men can laugh, Ingo´s Grandfather could not, he was a very broken man.
And yet... likely it really´ll happen again.
Great pics.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Greetings.
We have to keep remembering the freedom we enjoy thanks to the all the brave soldiers who fought for us. The 4th of May we have our national remembrance of WWII.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job of capturing the parade. I tried to get some at our tiny march at Kandos and didn't succeed as well as you.
ReplyDeleteThe photos capture the diversity of those involved. Chapeau!

ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of the ANZAC parade. Thanks for posting this. And I'm so glad to see the Canadian flag flying proudly! Happy ANZAC Day to all participants. I really like that first photo. I wonder what they're talking about?

ReplyDeleteLots of people represented here. That in itself tells us how so few have escaped war...
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Thank you, Grace. God bless them all.
ReplyDeleteWonderful celebration and honoring, and so many folks taking part in and around!
