Ooo la la! Happy Mother's Day..

I've never subscribed to the notion of expensive presents for Mother's/Father's Day. It makes me angry when ads on TV begin about a month before suggesting you buy mum that pair of earrings or necklace for an amazingly low price of $500.. I don't think so! The most perfect Mother's Day for me is to spend time with my kids. Breakfast, after a 8km hike :) made by Aimeecakes and a super long Skype with my Sydney famille, parfait 💙On the other hand.. if this French beauté appeared in my driveway I would not say take it back :) Spotted on the way back to my much less fabulous car..

Look who was in the back seat strapped in with his safety belt below.. Monsieur T. Bear. I could not have been more delighted! If you are celebrating Mother's Day have a wonderful day. Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe..

  1. This is not a vehicle seen on our streets. What is it and what does it cost and why do you like it so much? (Thanks for the info on the shooting. I was worried it might have been near you.)

  4. That must be one of the last they ever made . I remember the one my father had until he switched to a Renault 5. All very practical cars for the money.

  7. It looks newer than most I have ever seen. Ok, the last was made in Portugal in 1990.

  15. Happy Mothers day to you too. I only celebrated it when the kids were small and came home from school with selfmade presents. That Citroen car has always been my favourite too!

  16. Ah a 2CV, love those little cars. A neighbour has a grey one.

  17. Oh, yeah, a 2CV. So there's one in Perth? It was the first price car, the cheap one. They were all grey. The engine made an infernal noise, the seats were uncomfortable, but in summer one could open the roof....

  18. Goodness first love that car! Especially the last little bear too, so cute. I agree with you on all that Mother's Day selling, to me just spending time with folks is the true gift, and one that builds forever memories. And surprises, my oldest son and his youngest daughter without alarming our dogs slipped in and left a surprise just for hubby and me! Enjoy your Mother's Day celebration and all that you do, mine begins soon too!

  21. The Citroen 2CV is a lovely little car, but it is not make for our roads or our needs. The first ones had 9 hp, then raised to 12 hp, and at the end of production all the way up to 26 hp. Most of the 9 million 2CVs had a two cylinder 425 cc, air cooled motor with a top speed of 40 mph. They are not safe in even the smallest accident.
