Happy crabs Nippa-n-Snippa.

Spotted along the coast yesterday at Watermans Beach ten minutes from home. Freshly finished by Secret Harbour artist Samantha Prentice @ Mural Creations a Splash of Colour is a curated public art series by the Water Corporation, the aim being to 'enhance and transform everyday water and wastewater infra-structure into public art pieces'. Nippa-n-Snippa look super happy to be by the beach and I'm 100% certain that they will bring a smile to all who jog, walk or ride by. Looking forward to discovering more! Check out those skies, love them :) Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..

P..s. Couldn't resist matching up the mural horizon with the real thing..  come on, you would have done that too right :)

  1. Terrific final shot, and quite whimsical art.

There's been a move here in the last couple of years to decorate utility boxes like this in various ways. I really should photograph some of them.

  7. It is perfect in that location, Grace! We are at +32˚C and humid today and really sunny so it is definitely summer for us!

  11. Interesting that I just saw a bunch of people catching crabs which they then proceeded to eat. And now I see these "happy crabs." Hmmm...if they knew what was really happening in crabdom, would they still be happy crabs? Just asking. :) I do love that last shot. You're very creative. And no, a lot of us would not have thought to do that. You're a very special photog!

Hopefully all utility boxes will get the mural treatment.
