I don't think I've ever seen the Australian grass tree styled like this before, will have to check them out periodically to see how they grow.. seen here in Yagan Square . Why do they remind me of Cousin Itt without his hat, can you see it or is it just me :)
Meanwhile the iron cladding on the buildings in the square and the 9mt tall Wirin sculpture are oxidizing together beautifully under the warm/hot WA skies. Re the grass trees above, have a look here, guarantee it will make you smile, could we call this a 'tullet' :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..
Those are weird looking trees!
ReplyDelete...i love the hula skirts.
ReplyDeleteHair styles for trees! The buildings look great.
ReplyDeleteDavid Crosby (of Stills, Nash and Young fame) used to have a haircut like that. Nowadays you see young men who have just the bit on top that he was missing.
ReplyDeleteVery weird plants, Grace! I love the corten steel with that sculpture!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I totally see Cousin Itt. That square is looking very nice! By the way, that haircut link made me laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteOriginal sculptures! Arianna
ReplyDeleteThose are impressive buildings! Love the "trees." I keep waiting for them to start dancing and flouncing their grass skirts. Fun post, Grace!
ReplyDeleteVery Cousin Itt indeed. They look pretty good with a smart haircut.
ReplyDeleteThose grass trees do resemble Cousin It. I wonder how many people out there have never heard of him.
ReplyDeleteStrange trees indeed. Cousin It, I haven't heard that in years. :)

ReplyDeleteMen and long hair. Or even Vokuhila („vorne kurz, hinten lang“, short in front, long on back)... call me old-fashioned, it´s a huge no!
I really like this way of pruning these tall grasses, it's very original, you would really believe sculptures. And I also really like this picture with the statue of the man in the foreground. I hope you're okay, Gracie.
ReplyDeleteGosto bastante desta moderna arquitectura.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim-de-semana.
