The July theme for City Daily Photo bloggers is 'tools'. As I have spent much time in the jungle garden lately I thought what better than show some of my tools. Can you guess which one I enjoy using the most? If you guessed the power hedge trimmer you would be spot on, love zipping over the hedge to tidy it up. I'm pretty used to Mr and Mrs G looking down at me from the pool fence, the cat also, but..
... this little fella was most unexpected! The tiny field mouse was there one minute and gone the next, it was after the left overs in the bird seed trays. Here's the deal little chap, stay up in the top garden and we won't have a problem, enter the house and we'll have to rethink the situation :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..

Tools of the trade for sprucing up your garden. Nice one for the theme, Grace. Love those birds and I think you surprised one of those field mice. :)
ReplyDelete...I love Mr and Mrs G!
ReplyDeleteThe birds are pretty. I wonder what they think, looking at you.
ReplyDeleteThe tools look like heavy work! Love the wee field mouse - outside but not in the house!
ReplyDeleteDearest Grace,
ReplyDeleteWell, those garden critters also need to eat every day...
Mice in the house is a no-no!
Love your birds.
We have no hedges for trimming so we can't speak for that tool.
Hugs,
Mariette
Neat birds and mouse images Grace.
ReplyDeleteOh I love your dear animal companions!
ReplyDeleteI always suspected your beautiful garden was the result of much hard work. That pair of Galah Cockatoos look terrific. The mouse not so much. I'm sure your cat patrols the garden hunting mice.
ReplyDeletePretty little birds.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
I thought your favourite garden tool might be an axe. The field mouse is cute.
ReplyDeleteLol. Unwelcome guests around the feeders here sometimes too.
ReplyDeleteSo nice pics :)
ReplyDeleteI see there is lots of activity in your garden and it's not all coming from the hedge trimmers! Great post!
ReplyDeleteLoooove your banner, Grace (much better than naked trees) - guess what - it was raining this morno, too!
ReplyDeleteOh, see. I need to go in the "garden" - the maintenance man did not cut down Mum´s strawberries as far as I could "see" with my reading glasses (getting old sucks, 😉!).
Awwww, pink beauties! And the mouse!
I had one mouse - she was clever. I let her roam loose and after one cable accident she got it and never touched anything like that again. She knew where to "go", too and softly even in summer made it up to my ear to tell me something. I called her Dandy... for a reason.
She was a jerboa.
Love the new banner and another gorgeous Pink & Grey portrait. x
ReplyDeleteAlways those lovely visitors in your garden. I am a bit jalous here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweeties you have around there!
ReplyDeleteThe tiny mouse Is wonderful!!:)ew
ReplyDeleteLooks like you got in my shed then
ReplyDeleteI agree those visitors must stay away from the house!!! Cheers Diane
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I adore Mr and Mrs G! Marvelous theme for your tool post! And what a stunning blog header photo!
ReplyDeleteHappy gardening Grace. The mouse won't last long if the cat spots him. Love the new cover photo.
ReplyDeleteOh!!! The tools are well maintained.
ReplyDeleteMy most favorite part is 'the jungle(strike-out) garden'! ;)
I have the jungle garden(strike-out)... X(
I'm looking forward to yardwork in a couple of weeks - we are finally traveling to our home is Washington state, after an almost two year absence due to covid. The pink birds are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI haven't done much in my garden lately, not much point when there's not much in flower.
