Winter roses..

It was another miserable day yesterday but as we are in the second month of winter I thought it was about time to prune the roses. Surprisingly there are still many blooms, not just in my garden but all over the city.. my roses were promptly snipped off and put into a vase 🌹 Had a bit of fun using a water colour effect, what do you think? Tomorrow pruning will happen regardless :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..

  3. Dearest Grace,
With your climate, about the same as ours, we also have roses in December when it's winter here. ENJOY them!

  7. If you have blooming roses, you have a very mild winter. It is a lovely photo however.

  9. Beautiful! I pruned my roses back in April, they were looking a bit raggedy but I'm surprised they have kept growing through Winter.

  11. They look wonderful, also with watercolor (darn it, I maybe (?) could buy watercolors now. Some shops are open! - Corinna might loose out.)

  12. Yes, that could really pass for a watercolour; not everything put through that process comes out looking half as convincing. Nice one.
