Waiting in the Wings encore..

You might remember this gorgeous sculpture by WA artist Denise Pepper sitting on the bank of the Swan River in Applecross. If you look carefully above you can see a faint outline of the city across the river in the reflection, below framed by the wings a slightly clearer view. Even on the greyest of days there is always colour to be found.. if you are looking :)

It is the perfect sculpture for a photo op.. below Aimee on a much sunnier day when it was one of the exhibitions in Sculpture by the Sea back in 2018. When I see pics like this I do hanker after those blue skies :) Happy weekend, take care and stay safe...

  1. What a lovely sculpture. You can do a lot of photo opps with that one. Aimee looks like she just flew in and landed. :)

  6. Dearest Grace,
Indeed, if you are looking, is a good phrase as beauty is always around us, even on the dreariest of days!

  18. A fabulous sculpture and fun reflections. I thought it was a lot bigger from the first photos. Funny what perspective can do.

  19. A striking sculpture. The curves are so appealing, the nod to the Swan River so appropriate and the way it hugs the city in your photograph is perfect.

  21. Son preciosas y muy decorativas. Han enmarcado muy bien con ellas las vistas de la ciudad.

La última foto, me parece muy simpática. la mujer disfruta posando delante de ellas.

    Que tengas un feliz domingo.
