#myneighbourhood...

The theme for City Daily Photo bloggers around the world for July, how can it be July already, is 'neighbourhood'. Only three minutes away from our local beach I'm sharing my neighbourhood with dogs on the beach, horses too.. rock explorers when the tide is out, innumerable surfers, incredible creatures that just want to nap on the beach before heading back out to sea.. and those who just want to put up a beach umbrella and read a book.  It's cool, I can't imagine living anywhere else 💙 Happy 1st of July, take care and stay safe..

  1. Love your new header photo.
Beautiful water. I've never seen such nice water in the USA. Here the water is always murky. Many beaches are closed once again also, especially in Florida.

  5. As far as neighborhoods are concerned, I think you win the prize.

  6. I can see that life is a beach. Have to walk carefully with all the dogs and horses. The sea lion (Walrus?) does not mind sharing the beach.

  7. All you need is a Beach Boys soundtrack to go with your photos. :) Lovely scenes down at the beach, Grace!

  8. Wow that creature looks significantly bigger than our Hawaiian monk seal! See you at the beach sister ♥️

  9. I guess it is a seal. It is huge. I see blue skies are back or maybe the photos were taken earlier.

  11. The horse is being "walked"!!!! I´ve never seen that, Grace! How cute!
Taylee and Steve say hi to you today. Ingo sure will be happily surprised, too.

Grey and cold, 19C. July? Should be the hottest month over here...

    Love the seagull. xox

  12. A very happy and festive atmosphere - much better than our beach scenes at present which are of too many people and too much litter, along with frantic (and condemnatory) commentaries about the spread of the virus. I look forward to our beaches being this relaxed again one day too.

  13. You are living in an idyllic neighbourhood indeed, who wants something more. All those people enyoing the beach life. We feel a bit like your place here with summer temperatures and lots of sunshines, makes the life much better in Corona times. Btw I love your new header!

  18. I would never take a dog to the beach again. Last time I did that in RSA my little darling 3 legged dog (Niki) picked up a blow fish that a fisherman had obviously caught and just thrown down on the rocks Highly poisonous and Niki was dead withing 12 hours despite the vet trying everything. I cried for the remainder of the holiday. Take care Diane

  23. I don't know what it is ... but for me, reading outside is one of the best things. I dunno. It's just my way of taking a break from stuff. Your view is amazing. It's been many years since I lived on the coast. Love your tripod. How does it do in the wind? I have to eventually break down and get a better one.

  25. This is just what life is all about, and yep one can still practice safety, social distance when needed. But oh my what these moments can do for our soul!
