On a trip to Karrinyup Shopping Centre on Saturday we were thrilled to see the latest piece by WA artist Anya Brock, whose work you have seen here many times. Putting the finishing touches to a series of gorgeous panels depicting the flora and fauna of WA. The artist 'sees her work as semi abstracted interpretations of her subjects.
Employing organic exaggeration and distortion - the work is
recognizably figurative without entering realism'. I love her vision and am happy to say I have one of her fabulous budgies hanging up at home. The shopping centre is going through a huge redevelopment, the addition of public art is definitely a bonus. Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
