China Town..

While in the city on Monday we had a walk over to China Town, a porthole glimpse above, on Roe Street in Northbridge where you will find all of the fabulous Asian food, Billy Lee's Chinese Restaurant below is a favourite. As you can see here China Town is alive with street art but not much going on through the day, it's in the evening from 5pm onward until the early morning hours that these lanes come alive with hungry diners. It has been ages since we have been but I believe because WA has handled the 'you know what' so well, things are starting to pick up regarding eating out, haven't tried it yet but any day now :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..

  2. Always something interesting in the Asian part of town no matter what city it is in. I would not be too quick to start entering restaurants. There is still little treatment and no vaccine. Stay safe.

  3. An interesting part of town. We had one when I lived in the US and there was always good places to eat.

  7. Dearest Grace,
For food or even for fresh produce, I've always loved roaming China towns. We did so in Singapore and also in San Francisco and yes, I bought fresh fruits and even vegetables. Also some of that came home with us on the plane, not from Singapore but from San Francisco to Atlanta...
Nowadays you have too many weight restrictions and also space wise.
    But fond memories!
You captured the atmosphere very well and also far better than when too many people are in the streets...
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  8. Oh, Grace, it´s always a pain with Ingo in tow, food-wise (it´s not his fault, right!!!). Maybe "next time" we can have a girl´s night out and try such food?
Here not even pizza no more. You have the mask, give your data, not fun.
By now I´d like to step back some 300 m and RUN to have enough speed and hence energy to kick Corinna´s butt real heard and into oblivion!

  10. Nice view from the porthole. I've eaten in that lane where Billy Lee is but can't remember in which restaurant.

  13. We used to live in a high rise tower above Sydney's chinatown. Those places sure do come alive at night.
