We did head to Cottesloe on Friday evening to get some sunset pics of Sculpture by the Sea before it finishes today.. I'm happy to say along with most of Perth! While Aimee tried to catch a sculpture shot without anyone in it :) above, I hoped to capture the wonderful atmosphere of families enjoying a warm autumn evening on one of Perth's prettiest beaches. See for yourself here (really worth the one and a half minutes) how beautiful the sculptures look on Cottesloe Beach, possibly for the last time if they can't get the funding they need, the biggest percentage of which is private funding, that would be so sad for Perth and for everyone around the world who enjoys seeing the sculptures..
The pic below made me smile, I wonder how many of the romantic photos taken of the couple below were complete with aqua-man photo bomber.. I took a few and he was there in every one 😊 Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
Oh no. I hope they were able to get some shots without him . That Petticoat lane looks like a place I would enjoying strolling through.
ReplyDeleteAh what a perfect ending for a marvelous day out and about life and art. Your first capture with the human reflections in is probably my favorite but your ending photos sums it all up too! Great shots.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like quite an occasion with everyone going to watch the sunset

ReplyDeleteIt looks like a perfect evening. Love your shots. It would be a heartbreaker if this event couldn't continue. The video really illustrates what a treasure it is. Where do you ever see so many people interacting with art in such a glorious setting?

The video, well. You shared, I shared "yours", Mark shared "mine" and Ingo downloaded it for good :-)
Aw, I fail to understand why they don´t have it longer, I hope some pieces will stay for good somewhere around and in Perth!
oh I hope they manage to keep the sculptures there, you're right they do make the beach more interesting.
