Many people drive past John Oldham Park without even realizing it's there.. with busy Mounts Bay Road along one side and the Mitchell Freeway on the other it's easy to speed past this gem a stone's throw from the city. Designed by John Oldham, a pioneer of landscape architecture in Australia, the park was named after him in 2000 after he passed in 1999. Bridges, waterfalls, children's playground, paths under the shade of the lush foliage make the park popular with walkers, cyclists and families.. and a certain Perth blogger whenever she gets the chance 😉 Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..
Quite a pretty place to spend time in.
ReplyDeleteYou might find it hard to believe Grace, but after 12 years in Perth I've never been there! I notice it whenever I drive to the city which isn't often, but don't know where to get off to go there :)

ReplyDeleteGreat views and the eucalyptus trees look really stunning. In some parts of southern europe they are also planted but don't reach that size they have here.
