It was hot yesterday, even hotter today! We went for a stroll around Hillary's Boat Harbour five minutes from home. It was 7 in the evening and everyone in Perth had the same idea! In the shot below you can see the Rottnest Island ferry returning home past the lighthouse and into the harbour. I don't think I've seen so many people fishing along the pier before...
... although something tells me this family group weren't quite into it :)
Searching for tadpoles.. fun!
Swimming and picnicking alongside the shallow beach..
The Breakwater was packed to overflowing...
... but this tender moment was my fav shot of the day, who says I'm not a romantic :) Happy start to the new week, take care and stay safe...
Such nice photos, cold, clouds and mud here.
ReplyDeleteWow, that last one is a Photo of the Year kind of shot! Bravo !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures as always, Grace, and I have to admit that I'm envious of your beautiful weather!! It's cold, gray and WET here in Portland -- the usual for this time of year! But it could be worse -- could be snow and ice, so I'll quit whining!! Hope you're already enjoying a great new week!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures Grace. I haven't managed to get out of the house. It is raining and very cold. :(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Grace.
ReplyDelete86F/30C sunny and nice here yesterday. Today wind, partly sunny and only 82F/27C. And it's winter!
So many people out and about. Amazing. Have their air conditioners broken down?
ReplyDeleteThat first photo just screams Summer to me.
ReplyDeleteHad to chuckle at that first photo--no one around here will be walking around in outfits like that for quite a while.
ReplyDeleteLove the first and last pics, Grace! The first because it seems so far off in the future before we dress like that here and the last because it is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so scorching hot!

ReplyDeleteYou know me... I like #1 for obvious reasons. Ah... summer!
ReplyDeleteThese beautifully capture the evening light and the laid back vibe, everyone enjoying a warm evening.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky and nice colour in the sunset. I am surprised that I dont see more people at the beach in this heat! I saw news stating that Perth was going through 41 celcius as well.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a perfect evening at the harbor. Your fine photos give a sense of what it was like to be there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics, Grace! Quite a contrast here- we had snow all day yesterday, and freezing rain in the night, so everything's coated in ice.
ReplyDeleteEach photo is so lovely. But that last one touches the soul. I see the wheelchair.
ReplyDeleteLovely last shot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photos of the beach life you made. Everybody is enjoying the good life I see.
ReplyDeleteYou have a perfect place to take wonderful photos! And it sounds like you're weather is about the same as ours is during the summer! Nice to have water nearby, though, as it can make one feel cooler if nothing else!
