You never know what treats are in store when out and about in Perth these days. Walking through the Fremantle Markets on Sunday we followed the gypsy jazz beat that led us to Brisbane band Vino Veritas..very cool, if you want to see how cool check them out here.. Blogging is a constant source of new information don't you agree. I was unaware that buskers at the Fremantle Markets don't need a license, but check out the busking do's and don'ts. I guess rule number 7 means the guys above have to move about a bit.. wonder what the time limit for bagpipes would be :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..
The question for CDP'ers on February 1st theme day is this.. If you had to leave forever the city
from which you usually post, what would you miss most?
from which you usually post, what would you miss most?
We have a rotating number of buskers in our farmer's market over the winter, so markets would make for a good location for them regardless of what part of the world they're in.

ReplyDeleteIn vino veritas, I like their choice of a name! Nomen omen?
ReplyDeleteJa ik vind het prachtig en het geeft sfeer, hier mag het niet meer vroeger zag je hier dixieland bandjes van café naar café gaan .
ReplyDeleteVery cool indeed. I love any kind of music if it's LIVE!!!
ReplyDeleteThese guys look like a happy bunch of musos. So often these buskers are so good.
ReplyDeleteLive music is great! You have a great weekend as well!
ReplyDeleteI've always been a fan of street musicians. I wish we had more of them here.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be out and about so much, Grace!
ReplyDeleteLooks like these guys are having a good time. And rules seem to be necessary as you can bet your bippy if there wasn't a time limit some buskers would be there 'til the end of time!
ReplyDeleteProbably a special time frame for the bagpipers. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a fun looking group of guys and I see they have stopped some people in their tracks. That's always a good sign.
ReplyDeleteOh well if I had to give a time limit for bagpipes, I'd be unhappy! This is very colourful and happy and even exotic!
ReplyDeleteInteresting trio. They probably sound good to.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
I LOVE Freo markets, I had a henna tattoo done there, which led to having a real one when I returned home to the UK, I've eaten delicious pancakes, cakes, had a drink or two, bought handbags, a sunhat, shoes, jewellery, all manner of things. Thank you for a wonderful trip down memory lane x
ReplyDeleteGuy in the middle sure looks happy.
ReplyDeleteHappening place!
ReplyDeleteI like violin music so I would probably pause for a listen.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how many buskers have been performing in Melbourne this year, with some of them very talented. Ours need permits, but I am not sure about the ones at markets.
ReplyDeleteYou sure live in a neat place Grace.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post Grace.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than to wander down a street seeking out the cool tones of a talented busking musician. It brings the city to life. Bon Weekend Grace.
