The working lunch!

There is no walk in the park for some
No leisurely lunch with a chum
Too many details to thrash out
For some that's what life's all about
Put the mobile phone down and get walking
The office is the place for business... deals!

Oh come on, I couldn't have it rhyming all the way..
that would be way too cliché :)
Here's wishing and hoping for a safe and peaceful weekend, take care and stay safe...

  1. Too many people let life pass them by while they're taking on more and more at work.

  9. Superb reflections which reflect the difficulty in eating lunch and working at the same time! Your poem is great - and great poetry need not rhyme. At least not on my dime. Not all the time. That must be a sign that my poetry is just fine.

  10. There is time for business
A time for a leisure lunch
    Brisk walk afterwards

  13. At my office, I gave out incentives for people who walked, and tried to encourage people to go out together in groups for walks. In many cases they were talking business as they walked, but they also got some good aerobic exercise.

  14. Nothing could make me work on a lunch break... An awesome reflection of a bad modern habit...

  18. At least he leaves his office. I have to admit... there is nowhere to go where I work, so I stay put for lunch... But for now: A happy weekend, Grace!

  20. Never been able to do it. For me, it's either work, or it's lunch. Not both together. And I'm pretty good at multitasking too. But not this. Why?
