An 'affair' under the trees and .. a spare room!

Even though we are officially in autumn it usually takes mother nature a while to get with the program :) The hot weather can and does continue through March so there is no more perfect venue to hold a fair than under the magnificent old trees in Hyde Park. I'm happy to say that Perthites and visitors never let the weather stop them supporting local events and you can see below all it takes to keep the kids happy is a fountain! How was your weekend? It was the Labour Day long weekend in Perth which appropriately we spent labouring :) I now have a spare room.. am thinking of how to get maximum use out of it, any ideas? Looking forward to catching up today. Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe.....

  1. Oh, it does look so sunny and beautiful!! Actually, I shouldn't whine so much about the weather, it is gray and grim, but the temperatures haven't been THAT bad!! I just miss the sunshine! We had a beautiful day yesterday and mild temps, but it's back to gray and grim today!! Ah, well, spring is almost here for us at least!! Enjoy the remainder of your week!!

  7. Waiting for spring as you are waiting for autumn. Ever since I met a delightful woman from Perth at the airport in South Africa, I've had positive thoughts about your city, and your posts have reinforced it. You should make your spare room available for travelers; bet there would be scores of bloggers eager to book it!!

  11. Lush greenery...looks cool and inviting in spite of the heat!

Spare room did you say? Put a bed in it and we'll all take it in turns coming to visit you in person :). Save a corner for a nice little work space/office.

  12. It might be fall where you are but, those photos scream SUMMER to me. I love those big trees. Wonderful that you now have a spare room. If I had a new spare room, I'd set up my easel, put my paints in handy place and teach myself how to paint!

  13. Gorgeous pics of happy Perthites Grace - don't kids love those fountains! Spare room - well now, that would have to be a 'craft room' surely, and then you can allow yourself to do any amount of things in it? Joy x

  20. Yes I signed up with Google again :) I had to sign up to be able to comment on blogs so I figured why not just create a little snapshot blog to go along with it! Wow you've lost some lbs. and you're taking people photos...I'm definitely impressed and I love the shot! Now I want one of those sandwiches IF they have a veggie version!
