Shady lady..

Aka 'lemon tree girl'. Found this gorgeous piece yesterday by Perth mural artist and illustrator Paul Deej on the wall of a home in a shady tree lined street in Cottesloe. The last time you saw lemon tree girl was here (you will have to scroll down) in Mount Lawley. Could she be puckered up here in the hope of a princely transformation :) Hope you had/are still having a fab good weekend, happy Monday, take care and stays safe.. P.s. makes me wish I had a wall and a lemon tree out front :)

  3. I like it! I especially like the tree tumbling over it. It just seems to fit perfectly.

  4. Ah yes, another great mural. Lemon tree girl has a rye smile like she knows something you don't. Grace, you are right about farm flooding here not being good. We had heavy snow this winter and now heavy spring rain leading to flooding. A much smaller percent of crops have been planted compared to a "normal" year. Back in 1954 when this Chevy pickup truck was new, they were purely utilitarian vehicles used to haul loads in towns and farms. Suspect the survivor on my blog has been completely restored to look like it did back in its hay day.

  8. I love it! I wish I had a lemon tree too!
It is a holiday here tomorrow for Queen Victoria's birthday and also the unofficial start of summer. This is the traditional weekend for opening up your cottage for the summer. So the city is quiet.

  9. I expect you are quite correct about the puckering up to kiss the prince in the guise of a frog. Integrating the lemon tree was clever.

  10. Very clever, it makes a boring fence more colourful.

  11. Wow! Love your post from Mount Lawley! We had lemon trees in California. They're one thing I miss -- a lot -- about living there. (BTW, today I am posting shots of the other cathedral that you asked about).

  12. A very cool addition to the scene. Perth must have had a lot of blank boring walls before these artists came to the rescue.

  13. Very beautiful mural, Grace. I miss the crown on the frog´s head, though ;-)
But then... Being on a wall and being threatened to get thrown at a wall I might not want a crown, either!
