I pass the black and white with touches of red mural here every time I go to Joondalup but because it seemed a little awkward to get to have let it go by. Yesterday I discovered the only awkward thing about it was fitting the whole mural in frame. Painted in 2013 at the entrance to an underpass by Perth based artist Woah Jonny, 'best pronounced with a heavy cowboy accent whilst simultaneously slowing down your horse' :) From the heart pumping life into the fantastical other-worldly creatures along the way the details are so cool. I'm pretty sure this one will get passersby talking💓 Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..
Beautifully done!
ReplyDelete...a lot, I'd say!
ReplyDeleteFascinating. It requires a long look. One could pass it every day and find something new!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, a fascinating and incredible mural with a rare graphic invention !
ReplyDeleteLots to look at, Grace! All of the creatures seem to be happy!
ReplyDeleteHave to wonder if it a community paint. Bring your own paint and start to color the picture.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Very whimsical with an awful lot happening. I especially like the human like figures in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteAmazing works. Nice pics.
ReplyDeleteWow, there is certainly a lot to "study" there, Grace! Not surprisingly the lion is my favorite :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's h-u-g-e! This is fantastic. And I love anything with hearts on it.
ReplyDeleteImpressive that it has been left so many years undisturbed and seemingly un-weathered.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that is a great one, so much to see on it!
ReplyDeleteBlack and white (with touches of red) is unusual. I think it is is interesting but not quite as uplifting as colourful murals.
ReplyDeleteA complete world on its own. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteFantastic find Grace, with lots to discover. On the way to my son's house I've seen a big mural but haven't figured out how to get there yet.
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDelete… so much going on!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
