Yesterday we were up and away early to visit two country towns that I haven't been to before. On checking the website before we left three guesses as to why I picked Beverley, clue above and below :) The fabulously Art Deco Beverley Town Hall was definitely worth the 138km trip. The ladies exiting the building had just finished a line-dancing class, such a cool venue. The town of Beverley is as pretty a country town as you are likely to see, beautifully looked after by the residents that call it home.. even the bins along the high street are neatly encased and adorned with art. Despite there being two pubs, a bakehouse and cafes on the high street we made the unfortunate, or maybe not, decision to move on to our next destination to have lunch.. tell you about that tomorrow 😉Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..
I do like the architecture.
ReplyDeleteI love how little Pacific, Caribbean, etc towns are tiny recreations of Euro styles of a time like Decco.... Lovely little town hall, and a rounded corner at the hotel! One of my fave features on a building reminiscent of castle turrets. . . . . .
ReplyDeleteIt looks a delightful place and I just love the art on the bins, very cheering. Looking forward to tomorrows post, Take care Diane
ReplyDelete...oh how I love Art Deco!
ReplyDeleteSome lovely architecture there. Probably the architecture would be better suited to a nice foxtrot to the Count Basie Orchestra, rather than line dancing.
ReplyDeleteThe autumn trees are so pretty in the photos, with the white building and the blue sky.
ReplyDeleteThe Art Deco buildings do look terrific in your photos. We also like exploring towns new to us.
ReplyDeleteArt Deco is so pretty to see. Great images, Grace.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very nice town with some great architecture.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous building and those red trees just set the fall tone. Beautiful place to visit. Can't wait to see the next place.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely selection of photographs, and don't those gorgeous red trees stand out so well.

ReplyDeleteNice Art Deco town hall, all looks good for a tour there.
ReplyDeleteSure is great architecture.
ReplyDeleteThose old buildings have so much character. There is a Beverly West Virginia. They could become sister cities!
