PDP goes country..

Yesterday we were up and away early to visit two country towns that I haven't been to before. On checking the website before we left three guesses as to why I picked Beverley, clue above and below :) The fabulously Art Deco Beverley Town Hall was definitely worth the 138km trip. The ladies exiting the building had just finished a line-dancing class, such a cool venue. The town of Beverley is as pretty a country town as you are likely to see, beautifully looked after by the residents that call it home.. even the bins along the high street are neatly encased and adorned with art. Despite there being two pubs, a bakehouse and cafes on the high street we made the unfortunate, or maybe not, decision to move on to our next destination to have lunch.. tell you about that tomorrow 😉Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..

  1. I love how little Pacific, Caribbean, etc towns are tiny recreations of Euro styles of a time like Decco.... Lovely little town hall, and a rounded corner at the hotel! One of my fave features on a building reminiscent of castle turrets. . . . . .

  4. Some lovely architecture there. Probably the architecture would be better suited to a nice foxtrot to the Count Basie Orchestra, rather than line dancing.

  16. Those old buildings have so much character. There is a Beverly West Virginia. They could become sister cities!

  18. What a beautifully kept streetscape. I checked and it is about the same size town as Kandos but seems more prosperous.
