However you feel about modern glass skyscrapers you have to agree they are wonderful cloud catchers. I'm not sure if Wesfarmers House above at only 12 storeys qualifies as a skyscraper, whereas The Quadrant building below might just scrape in with 21 levels. On either side of William St. and The Esplanade they were splendidly attired in their cloudette cloaks :) Happy weekend, take care and stay safe... P.s. it's Aimee's birthday today, we're off for a scrumpsh brekkie!

Very reflective! Happy Birthday to Aimee!
ReplyDeleteGreat cloud reflections on the glass buildings.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Aimee, enjoy the breakfast. It's also my great-nephew's 1st birthday.
They're both beautiful, but I especially love the second one!
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are, and you captured some beautiful reflections!
ReplyDeleteI agree! They are the perfect cloud catchers. I can't get over how much that Westfarmer's House looks like a building here in Phoenix. I featured it back on June 5th of 2015. That "striped" look must be a common one for architects.
ReplyDeleteWow, super fabulous shots, Grace, brava !
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Aimee.
Phantastic reflection, and the blue color on the second picture is amazing.
ReplyDelete...a mighty pretty sky!
ReplyDeleteYes! Joy when me an my cloud clan are center stage of course! Another uplifting winner, G
ReplyDeleteAnd on a different note, I want your and your fellow OZ folk to know how mortified I am, and so many are, about the treatment your leader was subject to the other day. Adults discuss, children have tantrums! So Sorry! Cooler heads in the 'prez' own party are putting out international (and domestic) fires raging unnecessarily. We are all praying and pushing for our elected reps to do their job as coequal branch of govt! Elections in 2 years. We are SO on this! So sorry :(
ReplyDeleteVery cool. A more zoomed in snap would make this a great abstract.
ReplyDeleteLove the phrase 'cloud catchers'. It sums up your reflections brilliantly.
ReplyDeletePlenty of clouds reflected in those buildings. I hope you have a wonderful weekend
ReplyDeleteYou captured the clouds in those windows very nicely.

ReplyDeleteI love these reflections, Grace. You can't go wrong with glass buildings, can you. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is great, almost making the windows see through. Hope your breakfast was nice.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing clouds in skyscrapers!
ReplyDeleteAh, you made me look it up:
ReplyDeleteThe term skyscraper originally applied to buildings of 10 to 20 stories, but by the late 20th century the term was used to describe high-rise buildings of unusual height, generally greater than 40 or 50 stories.Sep 28, 2016
