Reflections of Malaysia Hall on Newcastle St. in Northbridge. This is the third Malaysia Hall in Australia, with a similar facility in Sydney and Melbourne.. focusing on the welfare of the many Malaysian students beginning their studies in Australia. It's an attractive building but as hard as I tried I couldn't find any information about when it was built, it looks old but how old I failed to discover :) Heading down to Cottesloe over the weekend to see Sculpture by the Sea, get ready for some weird and wonderful creations! What are you up to this weekend? Enjoy, take care and stay safe..

A perfect reflection, and a beautiful red building !
ReplyDeleteI have to drive to Italy , but it will depend on weather .
Have a nice week-end !
Oh, yes!! I do love that RED building and what a terrific reflection/capture for the day -- as always!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend, Grace!!! Enjoy!!
From the style, it does look like it's been around a few decades, at least, but it's in great shape.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely building and it has me curious too! I plan on being and seeing so much this truly heatwave weekend into next week as well. Could it, is it, will it be SPRING! No more winter!
ReplyDeleteamazing red building
ReplyDeleteThat brilliant red makes for a great reflection. Bon weekend Grace.
ReplyDeleteYou framed the beautiful building very well!! Week-end? Friday (tonight)-dinner at friends, Saturday and Sunday are open. Perhaps a light movie. Sunday: Church (Makes me sound religious, but I'm not, just like community). Family here for dinner at 3 pm. That's enough; don't want to venture out into the cold. Secret: I'm now home from Mazatlán but I'm still posting photos from there for a few more days. Don't tell CDP!!
ReplyDeleteA fine building with a distinctive color!
ReplyDeleteHello Grace! I followed James, you are right, he has done great work! I loved your photo, the building is beautiful and the capture is so perfect! Take care!
ReplyDeleteI love this tone of red, superb image! Arianna
ReplyDeleteVery nice Grace... is it Federation?
ReplyDeleteA fascinating building design. I wonder if it was once some government building. It looks impressive enough to have been one. And this weekend I am heading to watch the annual Kite Festival at Rosebud beach. Always a colourful event.
ReplyDeleteReflection or not. THAT is one fine building.
ReplyDeletewhat a grand building!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice reflection and a beautiful building !
ReplyDeleteLove the building and reading backwards!
ReplyDeleteNice building. I wonder if ours is the place in High Street Windsor called Dewan Malaysia.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty, Grace. I like your pic of it! I'm hoping to relax this weekend - we have more snow for Saturday but they are promising above 0˚C for the 6 days after that so I'm hoping to get out and about for some pics. Looking forward to your sculpture pics.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot Grace, I like it...
ReplyDeleteI think this was required from the advent of the Colombo Plan when many students from Malaysia studied in Australia, especially in Perth. When my ex- was at UWA, he had a very, good friend who was a Malaysian student under this plan.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful red reflection. Couldn't tell it was a reflection until I noticed the signs were backward. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely building Grace and that reflection almost looks like a painting!
ReplyDeleteI just spent a beautiful Friday at the zoo and on Saturday I'm going to a huge foodie event.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing reflection.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a building, and I love the fiery red color! I await the results of your trip. My own weekend is kind of quiet and rain is forecast. I will wake up and read the newspaper and see if any of the weekend events seem interesting enough for my camera and me.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great eye for sharing

ReplyDeletewow, very cool reflection. looks so perfectly clear...wouldn't even know it was a reflection but for the backwards name on bldg.
ReplyDeleteawesome building!!!
This is such a great photo! I love the colours and how crisp it all looks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo! If it weren't for the cars, I'd think it was an image from the nineteenth century!
ReplyDeleteFantastic reflection of a great building...Excellent colours...
ReplyDeleteGreat eye -- wonderful reflection!
ReplyDeleteIt's so perfect I didn't realize it's a reflection shot at first.
ReplyDeleteWonderful reflection! It's so clear.
ReplyDeleteThis is an outstanding venue, with great and thoughtful staff, and a fantastic chef. The party venues in Houston are well situated. We has been delighted to host our annual event at this location for the past few years, and the space has been perfect for our group of roughly 300.
