Belgian beer, blondes & big hair.....!

Not sure about about that but I am into vintage signs right now and this one is fun! Seen on the corner of King & Murray St. entrance to the Belgian Beer Cafe. Compared to last week the weather over the weekend has been a pleasure, not too hot not too cold.. juuuuust right :) Coffee in the Trinity Arcade Dome Cafe looking up St. George's Terrace early on Sunday morning before the city hustle & bustle begins.. I didn't notice the young lady sitting on the church steps, hope she's alright.....
Le petit balconies on the Wentworth Plaza Hotel, right in the heart of the city on the corner of Murray & William St. would be an ideal spot to watch the comings and goings of Perthites at work and play.. could be a good spot to stay when you come to visit oui!
Last shot...nobody told me it was 'big hair day', now if only I had a bit of cheek :) I would have asked these young ladies 'what's happening' but..you guessed it, we'll never know where they were off too! I hope you've had or are still having a super weekend..Take care.....!

  7. We´ve got some signs like that, too, even a clock :-)
Oh, my, the 80´s... no, they´re not supposed to come back!
Guess the Wentworth Plaza Hotel won´t do. We´ll take a cabin in Kingsway Tourist Park instead :-)

  13. I went to the Belgian Beer Cafe, saw a blonde sitting at the bar, so I walked over to say hello. She said hello back and then, "Are you trying to pick me up?" I said, "Maybe." She said, "OK, but please don't drop me as I have very fragile bones."

I left to go pray in the church.

Love the shot of the city street. But what's with the big hair?

  16. Four fine fotos, Grace. I like the vintage sign, too. (The Florida house has high ceilings, so I have 5 - 6 vintage travel posters from the 1920s, because they are colorful and BIG.) Speaking of big, I haven't seen big hair like that in decades. They look like wigs.

Those trees are probably maples, which are similar to plane trees.

  29. The sign looks quite old for a beer that hasn't been in Australia for very long. Maybe ten years?

Wentworth Plaza Hotel looks nice. I think they are called Juliette balconies.

    Hehe at Stefan.
