I was tres thrilled when I found the vintage French coffee plaques below, they are parfaitement oui!
It wasn't that I hated the old kitchen below, but it was definitely in need of a 'pick me up', hm! maybe me also :) Did I mention that we went to a French festival yesterday..oh la! I have some beauties to show you tomorrow! I hope that you had or are still having a fab weekend, take care.....Monday, October 7, 2013
What do you think....?
It feels a little odd posting a picture of my kitchen BUT...it is in Perth :)) and it does explain why I've been occasionally AWOL over the last six weeks! If you can imagine in the first shot a heavy double sided brick arch (last shot) was dividing the kitchen and the family room, neither room big to start with, removing it opens it up and creates the illusion of a much bigger space. I was a little worried about 'over check' but I think the diagonal on the floor and traditional around hob work well together, grazie Giuliano! That bold red wall is 'awaiting' a work of art (?) by moi!

ReplyDeleteIt sure beats my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! If I could cook, I'd want one!
ReplyDeleteThe whole update/reno looks fabuloso Grace!!! The whole area is really opened up now! Ah you had me there for a minute - clever new spot for the microwave! I was thinking of something similar to get mine out of the way, do you like it down there? Easy to use?
ReplyDeleteYes, the festival was yesterday - I can imagine you LOVED it.
Because of this post you are now honour bound to show what work of art you eventual put up on the feature wall! ;) I'll be watching this space!
Have a great week Grace, and really, the kitchen is just beaut!
Excellent Grace, and it looks very practical to use, unlike some I have seen that look like there must be a second kitchen somewhere to actually use. And the floor tiles are great.
ReplyDeleteWhat an excellent piece of interior decoration!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, I really like that sink, boy I could use something like that when I am doing a lot of canning!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Grace ... and I love those little touches of Décore Parisien. I'm sure your cook-extrodinaire will relish working in such a pretty space. I'm thinking tarte-au-citron and macaron pistache!
ReplyDeleteAre they Chokos in your fruit bowl? See what I notice...it took a few looks to see what brick wall you were talking about! Looks clean and tidy though which is more than I can say for mine.

One of the things she mentioned is that Western Australia is 4 times the size of Texas.
