Not sure about about that but I am into vintage signs right now and this one is fun! Seen on the corner of King & Murray St. entrance to the Belgian Beer Cafe. Compared to last week the weather over the weekend has been a pleasure, not too hot not too cold.. juuuuust right :) Coffee in the Trinity Arcade Dome Cafe looking up St. George's Terrace early on Sunday morning before the city hustle & bustle begins.. I didn't notice the young lady sitting on the church steps, hope she's alright.....
Last shot...nobody told me it was 'big hair day', now if only I had a bit of cheek :) I would have asked these young ladies 'what's happening' but..you guessed it, we'll never know where they were off too! I hope you've had or are still having a super weekend..Take care.....!
I like that Belgian Blond Beer..... the taste is very good.
ReplyDeleteyour other pictures has nice light and lovely colors.
Greetings, Joop
Those girls were headed over to 80s street. Looks like a neat place to shoot photos, lots of color and people.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen any "big hair" in a while! What a fun shot! Your pics are always so fun and colorful! Love them! Hope you had a good weekend and an even better week ahead!!
ReplyDeleteLove the sign, Grace! Sunday mornings are such fun times to get out and about if the weather is nice. The hair - ?? ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe vintage sign is very good advertising! Hmmm. Is big hair making a comeback??!
ReplyDeleteMy Brother loves those blondes and I'm sure he loves also that sign :)
ReplyDeleteWe´ve got some signs like that, too, even a clock :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, my, the 80´s... no, they´re not supposed to come back!
Guess the Wentworth Plaza Hotel won´t do. We´ll take a cabin in Kingsway Tourist Park instead :-)
We have more than a thousand beers in Belgium.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
I SO enjoy your Perth. Brilliant walk today, Mon Ami,G :-)
ReplyDeleteAloha
Love the sign!!! (Being blonde myself...I especially love it!!!) and the query about the big hair made me laugh!!! They're all dressed in blue too!
ReplyDeleteI like to see your streets views. So many things to catch, stories to learn, colors to enjoy..
ReplyDeleteHave a good week!
Keep taking your fantastic walks, I missed them!
ReplyDeleteI went to the Belgian Beer Cafe, saw a blonde sitting at the bar, so I walked over to say hello. She said hello back and then, "Are you trying to pick me up?" I said, "Maybe." She said, "OK, but please don't drop me as I have very fragile bones."
ReplyDeleteI left to go pray in the church.
Love the shot of the city street. But what's with the big hair?
Nice point of sight in the city walk! Arianna
ReplyDeleteQuite an eclectic group of shots, Grace!
ReplyDeleteSomeone save us from the Society of The Big Hair.
Four fine fotos, Grace. I like the vintage sign, too. (The Florida house has high ceilings, so I have 5 - 6 vintage travel posters from the 1920s, because they are colorful and BIG.) Speaking of big, I haven't seen big hair like that in decades. They look like wigs.
ReplyDeleteThose trees are probably maples, which are similar to plane trees.
That Lowell is a hoot, but I do really like the vintage sign, Grace. Seems we all had a nice Sunday morning.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that hair, it is really big! Is it a statement, they all look the same.
ReplyDeleteThose young ladies are very savvy - they certainly know how to get some attention. Surely they are on their way to audition for something?
ReplyDeleteGrace, I saw you message on Janey's blog. I have checked all my settings and I don't know why it won't let you in. www.cheri-scicaregiving.blogspot.com.
ReplyDeleteI miss your lovely comments :(
Awesome city shots!
ReplyDeleteI love that blonde sign and that big hair takes me right back! Ah, nothing like a blast from the past. Love this glimpse into your jaunt!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great group of shots. I especially like the big hair! Makes me think of the 70's.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I won't be participating in Big Hair Day unless wigs are permitted.
ReplyDeletePicking up blondes is always fun, what ate you doing tonight Grace?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous sign, it says it all ha ha. Have a good week. Diane
ReplyDeleteI like so much the street overview, lots of beautiful details in your pictures! The vintage beer post is cool, you have clever eyes!
ReplyDeleteFunny idea of "the big hair day" :D I'm still trying to brush mine here! Mondays are always difficult for my hair! LOL
hugs and a nice week,
Léia
These are great Grace. Thank you. Wonderful shots.
ReplyDeleteI'd follow those lassies and find out what on, but you will have to ask them to slow down.....
ReplyDeleteOh, my--they advertise!
ReplyDeleteThe sign looks quite old for a beer that hasn't been in Australia for very long. Maybe ten years?
ReplyDeleteWentworth Plaza Hotel looks nice. I think they are called Juliette balconies.
Hehe at Stefan.
Awesome big hair!
ReplyDeleteVery nice place! I've never been to Australia. Between your photos and a few other blogs I follow I feel more and more I need to plan a trip.
ReplyDeleteNice views of the city!!
ReplyDeleteLove the sign and the orange building.
