Where there is a roof there is hope! Rainy day reflections on the curved dome of my favourite cafe in the heart of the city Bocelli's Espresso. You may remember my outraged post HERE outlining the hugely unpopular attempt to close and remove this iconic to the city of Perth cafe. The cafe is still closed but it hasn't been demolished as yet so, being a glass half full kind of person, I'm taking that as a positive sign. Btw thank you to those of you who signed the petition on their link from afar, hopefully I will be back there soon taking Perth people in the city shots :) Have a super weekend, we are in for a wet one, happy Friday see you on Monday, take care and stay safe..

I'm happy it hasn't been demolished, there is still hope :) Have a nice weekend Grace
ReplyDelete...people get a bit testy when their places get demolished!
ReplyDeleteHopefully they come back. So many places have closed here, even some that were very old family run businesses!
ReplyDeleteI hate to think how many places in Cambridge will have closed when I get back to visiting regularly. Glad to hear they haven't demolished your cafe and hope they can open up again soon.
ReplyDeleteReflections have always something of magic... Nice picture!:)ew
ReplyDeleteWe can only hope the cafe opens soon now that most people are vaccinated. Lovely reflection photo. Grace, thank you for your kind comments. That old BMW motorcycle is ours. My wife and I bought it in Germany in 1964, put 3,000 mile on it touring Europe, and still have it. It is being mechanically restored.
ReplyDeleteEven though I'm in the USA, I hope demolition does not start, and you can once again enjoy Bocelli's. Neat reflections.
ReplyDeletePlaces like that get protected here.
ReplyDeleteDearest Grace,
ReplyDeleteLet's keep our fingers crossed for the future of Bocelli's Espresso!
It would be a shame indeed for demolishing.
Hugs,
Mariette
Hope your weekend is kind to you.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
That's an interesting reflection. I hope the Cafe can stay.
ReplyDeleteLooks great
ReplyDeleteToo many old buildings are being taken down, it's not right.
ReplyDeleteI hope your favourite coffee shop survives. So many have closed over here due to repeated lockdowns.
ReplyDeleteI sure do hope for people-shots again, Grace.
ReplyDeleteOh, we had the best rain, lightning and thunder yesterday! Glasses standing nearby even softly were "thrown" at each other, it was wonderful! Just to cold to enjoy it for real. 17C right now.... Have a happy weekend!
Indeed lets hope you get it back.
ReplyDeleteGosto do reflexo.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

I hope you are right about the cafe, Grace!
ReplyDeleteGreat post
ReplyDeleteThat curved glass makes a great spot for interesting reflections. You have quite a lot of rain down your way this year.
ReplyDeleteI love that curved reflection!
ReplyDeleteThat is a funny reflection!
ReplyDeleteI hate it when cities decide to close down places that one loves. Hope that all will be well and that it will soon reopen. Cheers Diane
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your crusade to keep this iconic establishment open.
