Look away if you are eating a meal right now :) It was the greyest of grey days yesterday, bleak and wonderful. Caught the osprey high up near it's nest on the communication tower at Whitfords Nodes feasting on the biggest fish by the size of what's left of it and it's tail, I didn't notice the trailing gizzards until after.. are you still eating 😉 How I would love to catch one of these magnificent predators in action but you have to have patience for that shot! Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..
I just know it was a tasty treat and what a lucky capture by you!
ReplyDeleteHe got his takeaway and a nice place to enjoy it with outside dining. :) Great capture, Grace.
ReplyDeleteI am right with Bill on this one. Wonderful shots of this Osprey enjoying its lunch. Too bad for the fish, but then I also enjoy eating fresh fish, but I like mine cooked.
ReplyDelete...and lucky that you have a long lens!
ReplyDeleteAh dinner with a view
ReplyDeleteOsprey, Eagles, and many hawks are protected here in the USA and one of their favored nesting spots is communications towers and stadium lights. If they only knew what they were being exposed to on the comm. towers.
ReplyDeleteNice shots Grace.
I guess we all have to eat, Grace! Good catch.
ReplyDeleteHa, no ai am not eating. Great catch Grace and the Osprey too!
ReplyDeleteThrilling, G! You are so observant ♥️
ReplyDeleteThey are efficient in what they do.
ReplyDeleteSocial distancing when dining is good.
ReplyDeleteSpaghetti dinner.
ReplyDeleteGreat captures of the catch. Those aren’t easy to take.
ReplyDeleteWe have quite a few red tail hawks by me and it interesting watching them scoop down and get a rodent.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Good shots! We all have to eat tbh.
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing shot. Good job catching this guy!
ReplyDeleteAnd we just had fish, Grace Luckily not raw, though!
ReplyDeleteHe´s like me. Take a bite and look around. Meanwhile... Ingo´s plate is empty and I always wonder... does he inhale the food?!
Amazing
ReplyDeleteNo different from us sitting down to eat a bit of fish and chips.
ReplyDeleteNice spotted.
ReplyDeleteAuch, difficult to watch...
ReplyDeleteHi Grace, I've watched so many cop shows (British and American) that the sight of innards doesn't bother me much (as long as I don't have to smell anything, that's what would do me in). I haven't been on Facebook for ages, haven't decided if I'll continue to stay away. During the time I've been away Baron almost died of pancreatitis (thankfully it wasn't cancer) and I took Amoxicillin for infection at the root of 2 teeth (before a root canal) and had a delayed reaction 24 hours after taking the last capsule. Started out with red spots on my lower legs and working their way up to my face. After another 24 hours the spots became bigger and eventually coalesced into one big red mass, then the itching started and Benadryl didn't help much. AND THEN my car broke down at the vet's office, seems something happened to gear shift which made it impossible to change gears or put it in park, which meant I couldn't start car again...it just keeps getting better and better. However Baron is back to his old self, the red spots have faded and the car is fixed...and the beat goes on. Happy to see your photos, hope all is well with you and family, love from Theanne and Baron <3
ReplyDeleteWell spotted Grace. Looks a bit yukki, but I'm sure the osprey had a great meal :)
ReplyDeleteA feast!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed salmon for dinner yesterday.
ReplyDeleteLucky you. I would love to see an Osprey. They have been spotted further South to us but I have never been lucky enough to see one as yet. Cheers Diane
