It's that time of the year..

A few of you guessed right yesterday, it is that time of the year again when artists display their creations along the fabulous Cottesloe Beach.. Sculpture by the Sea officially opens today but I had a sneak peak on Wednesday, I love watching the artists at work and have a bit of a chat. I can't tell you what the pieces are called here yet but I am willing to bet the above sculpture will attract a lot of attention, I will personally be wanting to take this one at sunset..

I call the construction below 'out on a limb' :) can't wait to see the finished piece..

Many of the sculptures weigh heavy, the big guns are required to lift them into place..

I always enjoy that life goes on as normal for Cottesloe residents despite the fact their beach is invaded by thousands of people during this period.. here school swimming lessons go on as usual ..

Who can resist a view through a frame.. not I , still wondering what is being constructed at the end of the pier :)

Not all the sculptures were unwrapped yet, one below still hidden from prying eyes, like mine :) If you remember this event was cut short last year because of you know what, thankfully WA has Covid under control so hopefully this year it will last the distance. We will be heading down at the weekend to take photos that hopefully you will be looking forward to seeing.. Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..

The first graceful sculpture looks like a sea horse!
One wonders indeed what they were building from those rocks...
    Looking forward to the reveal.
