Sculpture by the Sea encore et fini (for a while)..

I'm trying something new when downloading, so fingers crossed! Loved the three sculptures here snapped as we were leaving Sculpture by the Sea, excellent link,  Loved the quirkiness of the sculpture above and below titled 'Gotcha!' by Danish sculptor Helle Rask Crawford. 'Gotcha depicts a frog prince who has just caught a fairy. What will ensue? Only the two of them will know.' Conversation overheard between little fellow in pic and his dad.. 'dad he's not going to eat her is he?' Dad, 'no he's just giving her a kiss' .. too cute :)

Below 'Reflecting' by WA artist Jill Smith. 'The Earth..it's life , energy and meaning is in part a collection of actions. The choice begins as a thought'.. It does indeed!

'Heads it is' below by WA artist Paul Caporn is 'an unmonumental monument pointing to the idea that the way we memorialise and celebrate our great moments and people in history requires a rethink in these current times'.. Personally I feel the way we live our lives needs a major rethink in many areas going forward into the future!

There are so many sculptures to show but think I will hold on those until we get back to take sunset shots, love doing that! Can't believe this post went so well, was determined not to let the computer gremlins win :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..

  4. Good thing you have tamed your computer. Another collection of great sculptures. The Fairy and Frog Prince is great, and the Heads It Is are wonderful. Need to reflect on reflections.

  12. Dearest Grace,
Love the Gotcha sculpture the most. Instead of a dragonfly he caught a fairy and that Dad's explanation to his kid is genial!
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  14. Nonono, Grace, no "fini"!
Oh, how sweet is the first entry! (and another Popo, it haunts me, eh?!).
Kisses are always good. My King Frog got whacked by Peanut. Poor fella, a kiss would´ve been nicer..
"Reflecting" is beautiful! And yes, we need to rethink a lot.
    Waiting for more!

  16. These sculptures were great. Who doesn’t love fairies?

There is huge controversy here about a statue of the first Canadian prime minister. I love how the artist depicted that last monument!
