Sitting in Bocelli's Espresso on Wednesday when the hills streets came alive to the sound of music. I did wonder earlier why Princess Leia and a 'sand person' were strolling the city centre. It all became clear on discovering just around the corner on Murray Street some of the members of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra promoting the up and coming Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back - In Concert in September. The young girl above who happened to be wearing a Star Wars top was pretty excited about the photo op :) The white construction behind the band is the Perth City Visitors Kiosk, the 'city ambassador volunteer team' are there to help with where, when and how queries, they do an excellent job 💙 Happy weekend, take care and stay safe..
Gosh I love your Perth

A great street scene. Funny to see some people walking by as if nothing out of the ordinary is going on!
ReplyDeleteLots of fun stuff happening. Nice that you were there to capture some of it.
ReplyDeleteI think a similar concert has been done here by our state orchestra and I am sure it was very successful. It is a good way to introduce young people to orchestral music.

ReplyDeleteI'd like to go to that concert! The Star Wars music is so listenable.... is that a proper word? Do people dress up to go to that concert?
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect opportunity for that young woman wearing the Star Wars shirt. I wonder if she just happened to put that on or if she knew these characters were going to be there.
ReplyDeleteAnd just today, Grace, we were in a store where you can get t-shirts for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteGuess... I got a "Dean", hmmm, sexy!
Fun in the city, you can't beat that. Great photos, Grace.
