We are only a week out from official Spring in Australia and already we are experiencing warmer weather in Perth, perfect in the sun yet slightly chilly in the shade. Couldn't resist a quick shot of the young lady above sitting in Forrest Place her hair billowing in the breeze. I think she looks gorgeous, super cool jacket, but I just don't get the ripped jeans.. gawd I'm getting old 😊 Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
...I have a number of pairs of jeans like these, the holes are from work!
ReplyDeleteLol. I am beyond old. I remember the days when people were poor and were ashamed to wear torn clothes. Patches were the thing!
ReplyDeleteyes, she does look very well put together, oh to be young again.
ReplyDeletePeople buy their jeans ripped these days. I used to patch mine back in the day and got more life out of them. :) I guess that is no longer cool. :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent capture, Grace, I like it.
Fashion trends keep coming back.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of old jeans like that too that have worn out from work! ;-))
ReplyDeleteLoved the post :) Beautiful pic.
ReplyDeleteNew trends :)
I don't get ripped jeans worn by women.
ReplyDeleteA great example of street photography. Love her hair.
ReplyDeleteHaha, Grace!! I thought, "Boy, I´,m way too old for this!!" ;-), seeing the jeans!
ReplyDeleteBack then we threw them away!
Oh, summer here, I soak up every warm temp, every ray of sun! I don´t want to see autumn...
Wow, what a nice photo, that hair!
ReplyDeleteRipped jeans are all the rage here, too. Always worn by people who have never ripped their jeans the old fashioned way. Work or falling or getting attacked by a dog, etc. Her hair makes this photo an action shot!

I'm not keen on ripped jeans either, but those jeans are PROFESSIONALLY ripped! That makes the difference.
ReplyDeleteThe jeans are getting so ripped these days there is hardly any of the original trousers left. She is looking at a phone ... of course.
ReplyDeleteGood portrait and nice street photography.
ReplyDeleteI love how you caught her hair blowing in the wind. She does look very chic but, I agree about the pants. Every time I see ripped and torn clothes, I can't help but think of my mother and all the effort she went to, to make us kids look perfectly dressed every day. She would be appalled at today's fashions.
ReplyDeleteI've worn holes in many pairs of jeans. Here in the USA girls buy those kind of jeans for about twice what a good pair costs. She looks good and has nice knees.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those who was embarrassed by any kind of shredded clothes, particularly since I wore my brother's hand-me-down jeans as a kid. It does make me feel old and frumpy...
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice feeling! ;)
ReplyDeleteExcellent capture, Grace !
ReplyDeleteHello Grace,
ReplyDeleteNice picture of this tough-dressed girl.
Always nice to see human on the street. Fantastic.
Greetings, Marco
She is, and what a gorgeous day out! Look up and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me.
ReplyDeleteLovely photograph.
ReplyDeleteRipped jeans are very fashionable and probably expensive!
All the best Jan
