Couldn't resist a few reflection shots of the Eternal Flame while in Kings Park on Thursday. It amazes me that even when the winds are as wild as they were at that moment, the flame keeps burning brightly. Above swaying to the right to expose the State War Memorial before consuming it in flames a second later below. The wreaths from a memorial service held over the past weekend looked particularly beautiful on this grey winter's day.. more of the same over the weekend, I hope :) Happy weekend, take care and stay safe..
Beautiful monument to the brave.
ReplyDeleteSuch an interesting design. Love it.
ReplyDeleteIt is a good one, Grace! We are looking forward to a sunny weekend here with temps in the mid 20s which is perfect!
ReplyDelete...great images.
ReplyDeleteyes it is indeed a very beautiful reflection, but also a monument that seems very sober and moving. I wish you a good weekend
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful and unusual memorial. It looks very like the "summer day" we've had today!
ReplyDeleteThe memorial is gorgeous and so are your reflections.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Grace.
It's beautifully designed.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice that it sits in water. Our eternal flame sits in a boring large bowl. The eternal flame in Canberra is pretty good.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful photos Grace. Fire and water make for great pictures.
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely beautiful captures!
ReplyDeleteThe flame reflections are wonderful. You have a good eye.
ReplyDeleteGreat reflection shots, especially that first one. There's something about my holding a camera that seems to draw the wind. Especially if I'm shooting something small & delicate.
ReplyDeleteHi Grace, I am impressed by these shots! Every time I've been there I did salute.(Greetings from your friends I+I)
ReplyDeleteWow impressive with a great reflection. I like it.
ReplyDeleteYou made a great photo Grace, what a reflection!
ReplyDeleteGreat reflections Grace. The weather is not much better in Sydney, or at least Central coast where we are now. No rain today, but cold and gray, really miserable :(
ReplyDeletegreat captures. yellow of the fire and flowers look really nice on the grey day.
ReplyDeleteThat's nice that it keeps burning and stands out in memory
ReplyDeleteGreat captured _()_
