Running for the bus!

Found this gorgeous new mural by Graeme Miles Richards quite by accident.. often a super surprise is to be found when taking a wrong turn in Perth city and this was definitely one. On the wall of Australia Place on busy William street I didn't have to wait long for a bus to pass to add to the drama, the man looking as if to say 'you're too late mate you've missed the bus' was another bonus 😉

It is a huge endeavour with many beautiful details which you might have to embiggen to see properly below. The artist, a master of trompe l'oeil has included many optical illusions in the details of this mural. Loved the birds that look as if they are sitting on the stair banisters, the steps the blue wrens are sitting on below right looked so part of the real steps. The colourful birds escaping from the briefcase are a delight to see. Oh to be so talented! Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..

  2. Amazing details in the mural and your passing pedestrian has added to the humour. Isn't it great when everything falls into place like that?

  15. Is Perth particularly blessed with murals as compared to Sydney? I just don't see as many as you find.
