I must admit I had a wee bit of trouble myself working out which shot was real and which was the reflection when I got back to these shots taken on St Georges Terrace :) Winter hit with gusto this weekend and walking down the terrace was invigorating to say the least. When originally opened in 1897 as the Palace Hotel, now home to Woods Bagot, it was described as 'one of the most beautiful and elegant hotels in Australasia.' Thankfully the facade of this old beauty was saved yet again by people power. Back to the reflection :) the young couple standing at the lights with suitcase is the giveaway as to which is which.. any clearer 😉 Hope you had a good weekend, happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
...I love that building! I hope the entire city doesn't become a collection of high rises.
ReplyDeleteA reflection puzzle :) decided to stop trying to figure it out and just ENJOY it :) Happy Monday Grace!
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful takes!

I have to wonder if in the first photo is that a fire hydrant, with chain on?
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
A reflection puzzle, very creative Grace.
ReplyDeleteIt's a puzzle to me too, Grace! Summer has hit us with a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, that building is gorgeous. I'm going to take a guess that the first one is the reflection. My deduction comes after examining the photos for a long time. I think I see a streak of reflected light in the top photo and the cars appear to be traveling on the wrong side of the road for Australia. How did I do?
ReplyDeleteA puzzle indeed. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sharon, but for a different reason than she gave. Thought about the cars on the street, but this could be a one way street so that would account for the "wrong" side. The top photo is a reverse of the bottom one, and the writing on the banner is right on the bottom shot. I enjoyed your comment on my blog today. Yes, Perth is missing, but I think Perth is a hidden treasure.
ReplyDeleteIs that a construction netting on the lower building or a permanent new 'hat'?
ReplyDeleteLove that building.
ReplyDeleteLovely frames both. I think the 1st pic is the reflection.
ReplyDeleteThe building is great, but who thought that thing around the top of it was appropriate! I think the first photo is the reflection.
ReplyDeleteI see a light reflection in the first shot and the light pole has switched sides in the second one but that doesn't mean I'm not clueless on this one. Double negative and plenty muddled.
ReplyDeleteI love the mix of it all, Grace :-)
ReplyDeleteWe didn´t only have a great weekend, Ingo has today off, too :-)
Hope you enjoy your Monday as well! xox
Nup ... I can't see what is reflection and what isn't.
ReplyDeleteWonderful old façade on that building.
ReplyDeleteAmazing , Loved both pic.
ReplyDeleteNice streetviews, can't see what reflection is, I think the second one?
ReplyDeleteLove the old hotel...
ReplyDeleteI still prefer the old! From having the heating on last week they are now predicting 39C on Thursday and Friday - Not good for the health I am sure! Take care Diane
